i just hit my 13th cover (and 14th cover, because i wanted to respec from 4/5/4 to 3/5/5 last night)! i've really liked magnow for a while, love how many covers they've been giving me lately. got him up to 67 or so, boy does that red do damage when he's got that 100% boost or whatever it is... i have a feeling i'll be disappointed after this event. but 9 purple -> 5 blue conversion w/ a free critical tile is disgusting. I love it.

I've gotten like 4 or 5 Mag Now covers over the last week through tokens and rewards. naturally, none of them are the one I need for respec, Purple

anyone see the error message? scary shit

for the past week or so, every time I win a heroic coin from an event, I've been getting standard coins instead

ultimately I don't care because lol free game but it's annoying

It's not a Heroic token that becomes a Standard after the expiration date? It starts off as a Standard?? D:

you're supposed to get Heroic or Assault Team special tokens for placing high in the daily Brotherhood events, but they just give you standard tokens

mine have been heroic/2 star tokens but they may as well not have been

same -- nothin' but storm, already maxed out

i got one of those gold "standard" tokens the other day in addition to three actual standard tokens... somehow my 4 pulls had 3 ** -- probably small sample size if nobody else got good pulls from their high-ranked standard pulls...?

got two gold ** tokens from the last two events, and just drew them: a Psylocke & a purple MagNow! things are looking up around here

btw I feel so dumb for having mostly ignored OBW until this current tourney, because she is amazing. think I said she will be nerfed but I dunno, her hp are pretty low, so I'm not sure about that anymore

running OBW + CStorm + someone tanky is working out really well for me. call me captain obvious, sentinel of liberty

I maxed OBW out thanks to this tourney and i want to make an alt that is 5/3/5 instead of 5/5/3 (the joy of running different teams on different devices, lol)

my OBW is 4-3-5 and I'm gonna go for 5-3-5, because I'm killing it on the purple drain already & the cycling with 5 purple is going to be sick

I'm going to respec my OBW to 3/5/5 once I get a cover. Currently 4/5/5, which is fine, but now that I'm using magsnow purple all the time, the 4 isn't really needed.

Got an xforce wolvie on a standard pull. Now I just need to get lucky about 8 more times.

i've had a particularly shitty run of token pulls; I don't think i've gotten anything that i could use in about a week.

landed a hulk red and i'm now 5/2/5. whoo. also just placed not great in psy tourney but still got a blue mags, putting me at 4/5/1 which is usable finally, if barely so.

Maybe because of all the bugs from the past week, but a bunch of my standard tokens got converted to Heroic tokens today (like, 18). Not as good as the Assault Team special tokens I should've gotten, but still, better than nothing.

CStorm/MagNow/Spidey is a FANTASTIC team

Spidey, essentially. You go for as much blue and yellow as you can, throwing out enough Spidey stuns to slow their dmg output to where it's manageable for the team and so that when their first character drops, you can heal back up to full. If you can take down that first opposing member without losing anyone, the match is effectively over and you win because you can then use Spidey to stun-lock the other two opposing characters and heal incidental damage while generating tons of blue with MagNow's purple, using CStorm's green to periodically reset the board (and gather extra tiles).

also with that combo there's no interference or backlash with MagNow's red, which is a rigorous backhand to whomever you are trying to burn down that can trigger fantastic cascades for you

all that's missing is a character for black; if Punisher's Molotov Cocktail targeted black instead of red I'd consider swapping out CStorm for him because if you can get three up that put an attack tile on the board every turn, your damage output gets silly (although it feels much more effective if you have Pun grouped with a strike tile character, esp. Daken or AstWolvie because it seems that every tick gets that bonus dmg and you can get to the point where a turn with a single match knocks off well over 1K)

(CStorm does end up taking the most dmg initially but I suspect some of that is due to my character levels: 61 CStorm/51 Spidey/32 MagNow)
