i like her with daken or wolvie since you're already kinda trying to keep reds on the table, with im40 you can get her red blast without using them

I roll with AstWolvie/OBW/CStorm all the time. Blue saves up for Storm unless I'm in dire straits, then I go for the heal. OBW stealing to keep the other teams powers to a minimum. Usually finish off the last one with Wolvie green/red combo, if needed.

Moonstone is good enough I think - maybe needs a slight buff but I can't think of any 2* characters that actually have a good offensive Purple power. Even for 3*, you have Classic Magneto and Grey Suit Black Widow - not a lot of options here. Her use of Black/Purple makes her a strong slot 3 character, but I can't imagine leveling her when I have Punisher, Hulk, OBW, etc. to follow up on

moonstone was only ever worth it in the dark avengers tourney, and now with ares i don't even think he'd fit in a DA only A-team.

still think they could have some fun with Dark X-Men cards, esp Cloak and Dagger

who'd be in a da only a-team? ares, daken... am i forgetting a big one? surely not venom or jug or yelena... i dunno, moonstone seems like the other one for me out of DA only...

The problem with Ares + Ragnarok is that you have overlapping red/green machines there; it's probably not really a problem if you only use Ares as a yellow bomb/dmg sponger tho

Really? I still have any green Ares covers, but when he was a playable buff, I remember having to be very careful about when I deployed his green power since it could give the enemy a hand.

I have it at 5, only gives a little green to the enemy, and I'll take that for doing 99 damage *per* green (at my current level)

idk, i guess ares/daken/moonstone would work. a high leveled bullseye might be a good sub for her tho, just for his passive. between ares and daken the dps are pretty well covered.

I ran ares/daken/raggie in the nefarious foes tourney, all right around level 40, and it was super fun: feed green to ares with raggie's red attack, and get strike tiles for daken

i completely forgot about rag tbh. not that i really ever used him on account of having like 2 covers.

since the nerf, everybody dropped him like a sack of potatoes

oh man my mmr is way too high. getting matched against 2x141 teams in the dd tourney (not only, but including). the winner of the first elite tourney popped up in my rotation.

finally managed to get tanking set up for this LR, but it is tricky business. Need to join as soon as it starts to get matched against the lvl 1 seed teams, then power through them (while keeping one in reserve), then when there's only one seed left, put in a team good enough to beat them but weak enough to take a licking (i use daken/lvl 15 whoever/bagman), and hope ppl tear you down.

lightning rounds are running tomorrow too, but with the timing involved don't know if i'll pull it off while also actually accomplishing needed things at work.

OTOH, got my first DD!

wiping out the DD's red trap with doom fists was very satisfying.

i like this current smorgasbord of events (Simulator x2, Daredevil tourney, Elite tourney, Lightning Rounds) though it makes it tough to concentrate

The slow health regeneration has a salutary effect, because if not for the near annihilation of my usable roster, I would've played well into the wee hours last night.

Phew. Clocked in at #14 w/3 minutes to go, used a 75HP shield, still landed in the Top 15. Got a 100HP as part of the reward, so I get the two Mags cards + still profit $$

this simulation stuff is a pretty good way to build a team up from nothing quickly

Did you guys ever spend real moneys or are you just stone cold grinding? Im having problems building up a decent team with all the random covers I've been getting.. both 2 and 3 stars..

stone cold grinding, never-ending; my standard recruit token spreadsheet is up to 395

it'll all come in time, you just gotten keep getting those tokens and iso efficiently (i.e. rarely using health packs). don't forget to use heal missions like the early Spider-Man/Venom ones until you get a healer character. I still use the last Venom prologue mission to heal my top-tier guys every match or two. also i got a crapload of my tokens from just doing three matches in a Lightning Round, you just need to get to 50 points

if I felt like grinding I'd use heal missions but I basically just make as much progress as I can using the health packs I have a few times a day and that's my extent of gameplay

Why would you not use health packs (sez the guy who's had 40+ a few weeks ago and is at 30+ ATM)?

as long as you're "gaining" a health pack (waiting on one to regenerate) you're fine, but you don't want to blow through all your health packs in less than... 90 minutes? Maybe a little longer, however long it takes to get back all five

that said, you shouldn't sit on health packs above 5, because then you're wasting the potential health pack you could have "earned" by having it regenerate. SO BURN THEM ALL, LEE. BURN THEM.

You clearly don't work for D3 because if you did, you wouldn't be giving away such gems for free. You are an officer and a gentleman!

Blowing through all of them in 90 minutes is completely logical if you're going to take a break and not play the game for the next 90 minutes

was at 19 in DD this morning, raced up to 6 before I started getting hit, clawed my way to 4 with 1.5 hrs left, and shielded. checked in 10 minutes before tourney end and saw I had been passed and now was at 6. Queued up one good target, boosted to heck, broke my shield, hit the target and threw up another shield with 8 min left. nailed all 3 mags covers including my first purple. drama!

otm about these events being good to build characters... I'm about to get OGBW up to lv83

The simulation specifically has really good rewards and yet is mega mega easy as long as you have one or two of the characters with buffs. I have an unleveled three star Hulk and an unleveled two star Cap'n and they are fucken wailing on dudes.

throwing boosted hulk against patch was hella fun. after he fired off his green, a few hits sent hulk popping off greens left and right and basically ended the game in 1 turn.

i feel like they are (intelligently) trying to present players with alt wolvie/thor/ogbw matchups so you can see how boss some of these characters can be

latest tourneys have gotten me back on the daken boat, so I'm just leveling him up steadily this tourney
