have enough hero points for a free spot and almost two, but I'm waiting on my patch & daredevil & psylocke, but mostly patch, no idea how you all got so many of his covers so quickly

got his covers from events and tourney placements. they were pretty generous with him for a while (he still comes as a progression reward high up in various events, etc).

dd tourney has purple mags but i need to be in top 5 to grab him, not sure if i'm up for it.

for one thing even though my dd is 4/4/4 i have zero desire to drop iso on him to level him above 30.

yeah I wasn't up to par in those tourneys; those were the ones that scaled really fast so that all my battles were against three 230s

I've never received a magneto class cover. I don't think they exist.

classic magneto was the first *** i ever got, a purple one too. never saw another. thank god i didn't sell it (which i did with some of my ***s at the beginning... yikes)

My first 3* was GSBW, though I don't remember how I got her. I do remember getting a 3* Mag on one of my first Heroic pulls, and then a 4* Wolvie right after that.

Also, I was playing the Hard Simulator mission against Loki/Rags/Mags, focusing on the enemy in that order, wondering how/why Mags was instakilling whichever character was in front, and then I read about his purple power. o_O

that purple power is nuts. definitely would go mags > rags > loki for order of killin'

also it is just me or has each round gotten progressively more difficult? i'm barely able to get through the Hard missions anymore, they're all 100+

yeah, scaling is out of hand. hards are basically all 230 for me, as are many of the regular mode ones.

boosted doom is real fun tho for taking just cranking down hp.

obw is clutch against those goons that generate blue. espionage + purple steal means that i can keep spidey well fed.

go through that once by the skin of my teeth with spidey (lotsa boosts, vs like lvl 205 enemies). no way i'm going for it again, now that they're at 230 each. freaking scaling. ditto thor/ares/hulk.

not even wasting my time with missions above 120, even with two characters above 100 on my roster it just feels like a waste of resources. currently in the 30s in my brackets, good enough for me considering the skimpy sub-bracket rewards - as long I get my Psylocke cards i'm happy

afraid to do either of the devil dino fights because bagman keeps me from using spidey, and its waay too easy for the AI to grab six green, which is all it takes for dino to chomp any character whole.

AI is dumb, though, since I've noticed that it seems to take at least one turn more than the minimum for them to throw out an AP. (How I just avoided a Dino Bite in the normal Devil Dino mission.)

it's a bit unpredictable on that front - i always assume if the AI has enough AP to throw out a special, it will next turn - especially noticeable when fighting OBW w/her AP steal and healing

i went with Classic Storm to fight Devil Dinosaur when Spidey isn't available, she's buffed and the four turn stun is a good house clearer

Current A-Team twosome is Thor and Daken; if I can ride with three, I alternate between OG BWidow and Spidey with either of the two Mags as a back up to the backups. Current goal is to max out OG BWidow, level up a few baddies to current cover max (classic mags, doom, ragnarok, ares) and then work on grinding hulk into a viable switch hitter for thor.

3 open slots, 600 HP. gonna do whatever i can to get some of those classic mag covers in the blind justice tourney but have mostly given up on psylocke this round... i think i pulled the wrong pool of rivals because I can't seem to get over 300 in that run no matter how hard i grind the simulator.

i am seriously considering blowing fifty bucks on hp and just finishing off spidey's blue covers by paying for them. have i lost it y/n

finally have OBW (5/5/3) up to 71, she is wonderful; unless I'm really unlucky with blue tile placement, I end about 80% of my fights with all of my characters at 90+% health

btw lvl 85 AstWolvie (5/4/4) is still pretty damned powerful, especially if OBW is there to heal

if it wasn't for the blue collision I would probably be doing AstWolvie/OBW/CStorm (it was probably for the best that most of the healing powers trigger off of blue, thus keeping CStorm's "let me clear the board in 2 moves" power somewhat in balance)

my hope is to one day figure out exactly how to make Moonstone work as well as I think she should; maybe pairing her with IM40?

i like her with daken or wolvie since you're already kinda trying to keep reds on the table, with im40 you can get her red blast without using them

I roll with AstWolvie/OBW/CStorm all the time. Blue saves up for Storm unless I'm in dire straits, then I go for the heal. OBW stealing to keep the other teams powers to a minimum. Usually finish off the last one with Wolvie green/red combo, if needed.

Moonstone is good enough I think - maybe needs a slight buff but I can't think of any 2* characters that actually have a good offensive Purple power. Even for 3*, you have Classic Magneto and Grey Suit Black Widow - not a lot of options here. Her use of Black/Purple makes her a strong slot 3 character, but I can't imagine leveling her when I have Punisher, Hulk, OBW, etc. to follow up on

moonstone was only ever worth it in the dark avengers tourney, and now with ares i don't even think he'd fit in a DA only A-team.

still think they could have some fun with Dark X-Men cards, esp Cloak and Dagger

who'd be in a da only a-team? ares, daken... am i forgetting a big one? surely not venom or jug or yelena... i dunno, moonstone seems like the other one for me out of DA only...

The problem with Ares + Ragnarok is that you have overlapping red/green machines there; it's probably not really a problem if you only use Ares as a yellow bomb/dmg sponger tho

Really? I still have any green Ares covers, but when he was a playable buff, I remember having to be very careful about when I deployed his green power since it could give the enemy a hand.

I have it at 5, only gives a little green to the enemy, and I'll take that for doing 99 damage *per* green (at my current level)

idk, i guess ares/daken/moonstone would work. a high leveled bullseye might be a good sub for her tho, just for his passive. between ares and daken the dps are pretty well covered.

I ran ares/daken/raggie in the nefarious foes tourney, all right around level 40, and it was super fun: feed green to ares with raggie's red attack, and get strike tiles for daken

i completely forgot about rag tbh. not that i really ever used him on account of having like 2 covers.

since the nerf, everybody dropped him like a sack of potatoes

oh man my mmr is way too high. getting matched against 2x141 teams in the dd tourney (not only, but including). the winner of the first elite tourney popped up in my rotation.

finally managed to get tanking set up for this LR, but it is tricky business. Need to join as soon as it starts to get matched against the lvl 1 seed teams, then power through them (while keeping one in reserve), then when there's only one seed left, put in a team good enough to beat them but weak enough to take a licking (i use daken/lvl 15 whoever/bagman), and hope ppl tear you down.

lightning rounds are running tomorrow too, but with the timing involved don't know if i'll pull it off while also actually accomplishing needed things at work.
