We hugged with no names exchanged (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 13 March 2014 19:09 (twelve years ago)

already bought half those games over the past two years, didn't play them

Nhex, Thursday, 13 March 2014 19:22 (twelve years ago)

Same here, sadly. My backlog is crippling.

bizarro gazzara, Thursday, 13 March 2014 19:23 (twelve years ago)

I got almost exactly this bundle in a steam sale for like £30 maybe 18 months ago and thought it was a massive bargain. I haven't played any of them yet either.

JimD, Thursday, 13 March 2014 23:49 (twelve years ago)

man if the most appealing thing on there is comix zone and the genesis version of gain ground ..

♛ LIL UNIT ♛ (thomp), Thursday, 13 March 2014 23:50 (twelve years ago)

like i'm pretty sure you can find the ps2/ps3 compilation of those sega games for like £2 (this is less than fifteen bucks) and frankly who cares about that other shit

♛ LIL UNIT ♛ (thomp), Thursday, 13 March 2014 23:51 (twelve years ago)

papa smango (fadanuf4erybody), Friday, 14 March 2014 03:15 (twelve years ago)

papa smango (fadanuf4erybody), Friday, 14 March 2014 03:15 (twelve years ago)

I'm only tempted to pay the $6 for Typing of the Dead, but I know that'll go on sale again before I'd ever get around to it

Nhex, Friday, 14 March 2014 03:25 (twelve years ago)

sitting on a claud all day gotta make your butt numb (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 1 May 2014 20:26 (twelve years ago)

convenient timing on that Humble Comic bundle considering the ComiXology thing, eh?

Nhex, Thursday, 1 May 2014 20:31 (twelve years ago)

oh, i see what you mean - 4 bundles for $30 also
looks like they're finally getting into the bulk gifting trend that Indie Gala & Groupees has been on

Nhex, Thursday, 1 May 2014 20:32 (twelve years ago)

Lots of Star Wars games are -66% on steam this weekend, or there's a bundle of them all for a bit less again I think (which I've bought mostly because I like the idea of going back to replay all the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, none of which I kept first time round).

Mordy, Thursday, 8 May 2014 20:50 (twelve years ago)

btw, if anyone on ilx has not played i have no mouth - utter classic imo

Mordy, Thursday, 8 May 2014 20:50 (twelve years ago)

I wrote a piece about how Thom Yorke's Eraser makes a great soundtrack to the Harlin Ellison PC game I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream. It isn't a piece of literature, but it's based on one...
― Mordy, Tuesday, January 9, 2007 4:00 PM (7 years ago)

it was for my student paper and i can't find it now :(

Mordy, Thursday, 8 May 2014 20:51 (twelve years ago)

sitting on a claud all day gotta make your butt numb (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 8 May 2014 21:00 (twelve years ago)

really tempting, but i know i'll never play those Wizardrys

Nhex, Thursday, 8 May 2014 21:04 (twelve years ago)

oh i'll never play them... but i COULD

sitting on a claud all day gotta make your butt numb (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 8 May 2014 21:08 (twelve years ago)

btw, if you do pick this up, download that great 7/11 soundtrack album so you have that wonderfully weird "I CAN'T TAKE A BREATH... WITHOUT PAYING MR. DEATH" menu music from the second game

MISTER DEATH, HE LANDS ON MY FOOT

Nhex, Thursday, 8 May 2014 21:19 (twelve years ago)

i still have the CD version of that 7/11 soundtrack, that shit was my jam in high school.

i played 7th Guest with my little sister a few years ago so i could be like "look at what we thought was amazing in the nineties," but i haven't played 11th Hour since it came out. it was FMV, right? i imagine it's aged worse than the first game.

reddening, Thursday, 8 May 2014 21:56 (twelve years ago)

the 7th Guest had even dodgier FMV, half faded and low resolution! but i think both games still had impossible chess puzzles.

Nhex, Thursday, 8 May 2014 22:02 (twelve years ago)

yeah but it made them look ~ghostly

i DO remember 11th Hour had a basically impossible puzzle where you had to, like, rearrange furniture. i bought the strategy guide to solve it, and iirc it had a little quote from the creators saying "yeah i think we made this one too hard, sorry about that."

reddening, Thursday, 8 May 2014 22:15 (twelve years ago)

haha oh god i vaguely remember that

Nhex, Thursday, 8 May 2014 22:22 (twelve years ago)

I called Trilobyte's bbs in 1994 to get the 7th Guest patch. That was the day of the Northridge earthquake, and it was weird to hear the emergency operator recording coming thru my modem speaker. I was always curious what the 11th Hour was like.

Nhex, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:00 (eleven years ago)

Has anyone played any of the Democracy series?

polyphonic, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:09 (eleven years ago)

$6 for space hulk in humble bundle. also an adventure time reference in the email they just sent out ("The five winds waft the smell of victory to our palace doors!")

Mordy, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:14 (eleven years ago)

you recommend Space Hulk? looks like a weird adaptation

Nhex, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:30 (eleven years ago)

idk, i've never tried it (in any incarnation) but i've always been interested in trying it!

Mordy, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:45 (eleven years ago)

I'm more interested in Ironclad Tactics (from the Spacechem ppl) but for $9 I might just grab it all. Then I can become a Space Hulk Super Amadeus. Gonna wait to see if they get better discounts on the Steam sale though

Nhex, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:54 (eleven years ago)

witcher 2 for $4. i'd pull the trigger if i believed i'd ever actually get around to playing it

Mordy, Thursday, 19 June 2014 19:58 (eleven years ago)

lol i still gotta knock out Witcher 1. also, get a computer that can actually run Witcher 2

v. interested in that democracy game, but i still havent really mastered Prison Architect which I think would probably be a similar micro-management experience. but w/e, that isn't the way this works, i'll almost definitely buy think game

Windsor Davies, Thursday, 19 June 2014 21:19 (eleven years ago)
