I like that theory, though I doubt they'd make it cheap enough for the likes of me to buy in.

2500 HP actually would, in my position, grant me something like 8 roster slots... which is fun to daydream about, but still, lol.

i guess they're sticking to the whole "entry cost has to be equal to or greater than standard HP purchases" thing, with 300HP netting you 500 iso + 1 heroic token. but that's not gonna grab anyone who's stingy with their HP (like everyone here)

i basically think its more to be service for hardcore players with HP to burn.

What would you do if you won? Not much point in continuing once you have everything.

the amount of Iso it would take to level everyone up to max would be in the millions, so you'd still have to pick and choose. plus there seems to be a new character out every two weeks

I was 19 but ended up top 45. Only got one spidey.

Welp shields worked. FINALLY three spideys. I can see where this will force me to spend money finally

Peaked around #7 and ended up somewhere in the top 45. It'll do. Nice to see a little variety in ppl's teams lately.

spent 100 on shields when I made it up to 4 with 26 mins remaining. but I only got 2 spideys. still, I was attacked six times after shielding, & I'd have lost most of those. do it worked out

jesus christ, getting taken down left and right by obw/thor/dd in the tourney. maybe its just bad luck, but invariably bw picks up enough blue for one (or even two!) heals and that draws out the game enough for thor to destroy me.

patches/spidey is usually great, but it plays slow unless i can get enough blue fast enough to just throw down stuns. at least old wolvie/obw let me throw out strike tiles fast.

new thor is even more fearsome than old thor on defense i think, because once a single yellow gets loose its all over. meanwhile i could take down red w/o much trouble.

patches/obw/spidey was pretty awesome. But when I don't have all three together it doesn't really come together. not sure if i have a better team for this tourney tho...

you gotta focus fire OBW quick (blue matches) while taking thor's yellow at the same time, since that it makes very easy green for him

my DD is only lvl 18 (2 cards) so i'm just hoping I can get 1 Doom out of this tourney. wish there was another PvE going on right now

denying blue, red, yellow, purple all at once and also trying to do damage is really hard, it turns out.

I love OBW, she's been my best leveling choice. I'll going to straight up quit when she's nerfed.

i've fallen back to daken and thor again and that works fairly well. just keep matching green until the lower level is near killed (generally obw, sometimes wolverine) then use thor's green to kill one, bang up 2 and mostly merk rival daredevil. By then thor's other attacks are generally near good to go and it's an easy cleanup.

Got my first Spider-Man cover -- yay! Purple -- meh!

The fact that I pretty easily got up to the top 15(?) last night in the PVP after probably < 2 hours of playing before eventually sliding down means I lucked out with my bracket, or my Thor/OBW + 1 squad is rounding out beautifully, or all the real players have lost interest in this game.

I've run into a million lvl 100+ Patches, Punishers, Spideys, Black Widows etc. so believe it, they're out there

Did some back-of-the-envelope math and figured that with my current roster composition, the Heroic tokens would result in a cover for a character I already had about 75% of the time... and the first pull was an IM40, which is nice, but now I have two new 3* covers and no open roster spots. Oops.

ok thought of a new combo -- obw/doom/patches. i think this could be pretty brutal.

OBW/Doom sounds good because he can use her Espionage to grab more black tiles fast, but you're kinda giving up his Blue ability that converts Blue > Black, if you want to keep OBW fed for healing. Patch is good to pick up the remaining Red/Green.

I wonder how scary a high-level Daredevil is. Even at low levels, I'm terrified of those traps

OBW/Patch/Bullseye works pretty well for me. Bullseye's black ability is so powerful with strike tiles on the board that it usually ends the match. Shame it costs so much.

How many covers do you wait to accumulate for a single 3* character before yall start pumping ISO into a them?

if you really have the patience, you might as well wait until they're capable of hitting 85, since until that point you'll have better 2* guys to use. but i never do, so i waste a lot of iso on these things like having a lvl 45 hulk or 70 punisher. these boosted tourneys are always a good reason to level them up

i'm skeptical - unless there's an article out there where they actually admitted their revenue numbers, this looks like pure projection

for all i know they could be making even more, but this stuff is generally kept secret until they're making insanobucks

New tourney, new card. Psylocke! Looks like a combo of OBW and Punisher.

That's too bad, Punisher looks kind of like a deformed Nosferatu in the in-game art, at least she'll have OBW's silly mask on.

is this the 80s/90s psylocke or is there an updated version of her i am unfamiliar with? feels like they are pulling marvel characxters out of a hat...

she hasn't really changed since the '90s
