xp Jeff, same, the only outrageous mission is the final mission (which I couldn't get to before), as it used to be... grind time before the tourney ends. But there's not that much motivation - if you're in the top 50 you get one Daredevil card, higher ranks just get your more iso/HP.

Forks, you should definitely be getting in on this Wolvie tourney right now - your 85 Ast. Wolvie/85 Thor/OBW or whatever filler is good enough to get you some Spidey cards from this

I've started buying heroic tokens when they go on sale for 100 HP. Got an Invisible Woman yesterday. I've also been getting Thors/Wolvies up to level 13 then selling them for 100 HP while that offer is available.

hm, that would run about 1000hp though, right?
i have made dual respecs for both thor and wolvie but beginning to realize unless i want to totally relevel them up to 85, it's not gonna be worth it.

Finally got a *** from a heroic token, patch. Now I just need about 6 more if them to make it where I'll want to throw any ISO at home.

I've never used a shield. So if I got up into place 2 to 5 and used a shield to cover the rest of the tournament, would I be guaranteed the spidey cards?

It only guarantees that you don't lose points when someone plays and beats you, I believe. People can still leapfrog you, obviously. Caveat: I've never used shields.

yeah, people can outscore you and everything can be pushed forward. and the instant you play again, the shield drops.
i hate the whole shield thing, very lame imo

i like it, because it means at least for the last hour or 15 minutes of a tourney (in some cases, i've done it at 5 minutes) i don't have to freak out when i'm getting hit for huge points at the end. you can never really guarantee a #1 spot, but it's guaranteed me Top 5/10/15. like i said before, this is a mostly viable strategy if you can grind your way to get the HP reward on the ladder, and then you'll get some HP for a high tourney spot, so you still come out profitable

Just from getting thor/wolvie covers from random standard tokens. Costs some ISO but no HP.

hmm. so to do this, you're spending about ~1000 iso, and giving up the 375 iso you'd get from just selling the 3 covers.. so it's a ~700 spend to get 100HP. not bad but i'm too hungry for iso to do this

his AP steal ability is superbeast; the other powers are situational/tile based

hood/obw teams sound real fun to play with. his black is ok on some teams i guess. his yellow is hella expensive.

my guess is that they had terrible opt-in on the last elite thing so they're trying this to see if it was due to prizes or not. if we keep not-joining these maybe they'll actually make it cheap.

I like that theory, though I doubt they'd make it cheap enough for the likes of me to buy in.

2500 HP actually would, in my position, grant me something like 8 roster slots... which is fun to daydream about, but still, lol.

i guess they're sticking to the whole "entry cost has to be equal to or greater than standard HP purchases" thing, with 300HP netting you 500 iso + 1 heroic token. but that's not gonna grab anyone who's stingy with their HP (like everyone here)

i basically think its more to be service for hardcore players with HP to burn.

What would you do if you won? Not much point in continuing once you have everything.

the amount of Iso it would take to level everyone up to max would be in the millions, so you'd still have to pick and choose. plus there seems to be a new character out every two weeks
