It's ruthless, but I've been peeking at my opponent's roster in the Wolverine tourney to see if they have characters that can compete with me. If not, I'm CRUSH THEM.

its terrible on defense, and only hit-miss on offense. but it is very fun.

obw is very good at generating black with espionage + her purple steal. also she gets in front on matches, taking damage instead of my very low level loki.

build up enough green and black, then bam. green creates strikes for both sides, then use trickery to turn the strikes for your opponent in to high-powered shields. after this you hit for incredible damage (and double when obw matches) and basically are invulnerable because of all the shields.

but if it goes wrong, obw goes down, then loki follows immediately, so there's that...

and on defense the AI will never get it right, and furthermore your opponent can just take out loki first and ruin the fun.

its supposedly also very good on missions against goons in pve.

i'm astonished they haven't at least fixed the drastic level imbalances on the events yet; it's kinda ludicrous
reduced to playing about four matches a day, maybe fifteen minutes. I was putting in minimum two hours a day! maybe this will be a good thing ultimately; really hope they crater and fuck up so bad i can uninstall... how beautiful the thought...

i've had to tear myself away just to get to the rest of my immortal backlog, so I won't cry if they shut it down for a weekend

Thick As Thieves ends tonight in about 8 hours, so grind away if you're still going for Daredevil

to be honest, without that bug i wouldn't be in this at all. i'm grinding an end mission that puts you against a solo Hood at Level 230, and gives 2000 points at max

i honestly can't get past the first level just now. really gonna have to rethink my strategies.

honestly, that's the real reason I maintain a spreadsheet, to prove to myself that I'm not going crazy, and yes, I have drawn 49 Modern Storm cards. yes, I have drawn eight 1-star cards in a row. it does prove out the rates are fairly steady in terms of rarity

the actual card you get within that rarity though, seems to be totally random (i.e. 49 M. Storm vs. 30 M. Black Widow)

Maybe it's confirmation bias but I feel like I get way more IM35/Storm than I get MBW/Hawkeye so it might not be random?

I checked mischiefmaker's sheet from D3P and your gut is almost right - IM35 and Storm are more likely to show up than other 1*s

for your/the other guy's excel sheets... are you timestamping each pull? wd be interested to see if there are time trends that are interesting (eg. common times where there are better pulls)

No OBW in this Heroic Mode is killing me. Didn't realize how much I relied on her healing and count down extender.

was neck and neck for 1st in the bracket last night but didn't quite pull it out -- bad timing and then got nailed on bad boards for two maggia missions in the last minutes. still ended up 4th and got all three DD covers. The 2000 iso helped dull the pain of all i spent on the boosts i burned through though.

Wait, is the Thick As Thieves event done? Bah, why was I doing homework last night when I had more important things to do.

there's the occasional forum nerd with stockhausen syndrome who is all like, naw i like the difficulty, but like 90% of the people on that board seem furious.

While I would like less difficulty, if it must be heroic 230s then at least let us bring some dps characters. I don't think it is too much to ask to be able to do more damage per turn than Daken regenerates.

The trick is to sell the covers you're not going to use. Sell thor, sell all your 1 star characters even if they are maxed. Thor is useless unless he's in a buffed tourney. Every one star is useless because they have too little life and they will get 2 shotted. Selling your covers makes the PVE enemies muuuuch much weaker. I just sold 3 characters and my maggia went from 230 to 101. I think it may have something to do with number of levels vs number of covers. If you have a lot of crap covers (low levels) then the pve enemies will be so easy because the computer thinks you suck for having such a bad squad of heroes.

at least my l85 2 star wolvie can take out that daken in one hit with the red attack, rip feral claws though

btw forks the devs on that forum seem to have refuted the "sell the cover" claim

the "sell the cover" claim is the greatest troll I've ever seen

wolvies new red attack is a bear when he's boosted. i'm very tempted to sell thor and rebuild him? Use the iso to respec and boost punisher/hulk/OG BWidow as that seems like a good poser team.

at 230, a single sniper shot kills anyone on my team; very hard to play with that little leeway

i've long since stopped trying the Lvl 230 missions, i'd rather tank and play the easier ones

So they nerf ** Wolverine and at the same time bring in a new *** Wolverine who is just as powerful as the original **. How long until they decide *** Wolvie is too powerful and force everyone to go for the **** version?

Daredevil looks like fun, but he needs more than 2 covers (in my case).

Their reasoning is that 2* Wolverine was too strong for a 2* character.

Also, Stockhausen Syndrome is the worst, is it even music?

patch is way more volatile than the original. granting your opponent purple damage tiles is a real bear unless you're super careful.

strangely, my heroic mode is all level 16, so i breezed through everything and pulled about 6k iso which i promptly redistributed among my lower guys. I miss getting daredevil but there's every likelihood i should pull in this event given it's top 50 and i'm at 4 now... of course this goes on for six days so who knows what the fuck they're gonna do now.

i thought stockhausen was on purpose, like people who go around life always telling everyone/believing that they have stockholm syndrome when they actually don't. also great: stockhausen by proxy (see: any parent who watches tv expose on videogame addiction)

haha something i thought was VERY funny was their justification on the forum for nerfing wolvie's yellow... that having a passive skill that healed you didn't "fit the way they saw the game" and that such actions should be active

my heroics starts at 33 for the first mission, 89 for the next, then immediately scales up to 220 and then 230. blah.

even when i can take down those teams, its such a damn grind. nerfed wolvie's strikes take forever to chip away at their health.

ugh, stop playing for 3 hours, get hit for 216 points in the wolvie tourney

btw i really hope they fix this obnoxious frame rate issue soon
