somewhere on the forms the devs acknowledged scaling in this event is terrible and they hope to rerun it again with less insane jumps in difficulty.

i can knock down any mission w/ boosts pretty easy but its dull to keep grinding it.

nobody should do the avengers elite unless they are super buff and sitting on way more hp than they plan to spend.

I'm pretty good at the maggia only missions. Unless I can't fill my blue quick enough then I'm sniper shot fucked.

how does this "jump" thing work anyway? why is everyone level 200? did anyone find a way to deal around this? it's so brutal and unending.

Whoa. I was mid-match and the game crashed. Came back and all of the badguys are like level 10. WTF?

The level crash happened to me very late last night while I was struck by illness and insomnia. Realizing this was probably a bug, I went through all the missions while the enemies were level 35ish, just so I could get through the story. Actually ended up at #1 on the overall leaderboard! of course, that didn't last, but it was exciting for a hot second.

Workaround for de-leveling the baddies in the DD PVE:

Retreat - a lot. It may take 5-10 times to do one wave of reduction. Do as many waves as you have to to reduce the opponents to manageable, and you may have to do it a few times during a cycle.

Use a supplied character if you can - the current sub has two provided in the first mission, so it's perfect. Use those three plus one of your scrubs and retreat over and over and over.

Hmm, wonder what the new Wolvie/Thor builds should be, esp. since mine are yet to max out (though I have 4 green with 2* Wolferine).

I like the Thor nerf! esp. b/c I have him at 4-4-5. call the storm looks mega now, & while it's not modern storm mega, he can take way more damage than she can.

I feel ok about the wolvie nerf, because I was getting bored of the "get green, cast feral claws" cycle playing him. still, rip

My Thor is currently 4/4/5 and Wolvie is 5/5/3. I'm OK with the nerfing, but losing the effectiveness of Wolvie's yellow power kind of blows.

I'm still torn on what character to level up next. I started on classic storm, but now think maybe I should go ahead and get Thor there. I don't really have enough 3 star covers to make any of them worth it right now.

oh man, that change from iso to hp is gonna drastically effect my leveling
every change they've made has torpedoed my enjoyment of the game thus far

tbh, though, i rarely even bought boosts with iso, better to just grind out prologue missions while healing and hope some drop. but i just heard that they silently lowered the boost drop rate as well!

man seriously i was wondering if it's jsut because i slept bad but the changes today and over the past few days and how bad thick as thieves is -- got me annoyed as shit!

AXM Wolverine is a lot weaker, but not terrible. Still has decent synergy with OBW. Daken might be better than Wolvie now. Yellow matches heal quite a bit -- over 300 for my level 69 Wolvie with 3 levels of yellow covers. Too bad about the 50% regen cap.

Thor changes were necessary, and I like that they made him into a new character instead of just nerfing him.

Dislike the tilted icons (in the steam version). Pointless.

Oh wait, I have a Doom cover in my queue, I'll keep playing till I can recruit him, then I'm done.

wow, they totally fucked this up! the forums, which are generally pretty friendly, are livid. Very amused; can't think but that they'll fix the major problems in a few days when the tourney's over but just wow

a third update in a day, they're definitely hitting the panic button. i'm not worried, like you say it'll be resolved by next week

i'm actually kind of happy with the wolvie nerf since i went 5 red, that ability is definitely better now

New Anderson Inc missions, I got one novice and then the rest all all level 230s....

unbugging patch + i'm not buying 3+ all boosts now = dying on some 230 missions again. blah.

since my Thor is 5/5/3, i'm slightly tempted to sell/respec him - you get over 34K right now, temporary post-nerf

well, at least i finally got a new daily resupply. it's been like a month

Seriously it is almost funny how bad they botched this.

the one thing that works out well out of all this is my thor and wolvie builds are actually optimal for the new specs. my thor is 3/5/5 because i didn't know better, so i never even bothered maxing him. wolvie is 5/5/3 and its always worked great for me. his yellow is now a total waste. if i let his health get below 50% i've screwed up royally anyway.

once they nerf spidey i have no idea what team i'll end up using.

on the plus side i figured out a LR tank strategy that still works. leave one scrub battle (1/1/15) untouched, then use the other two slots to get to 100, then throw in a scrub-like team just tough enough to beat the lame team, and your last winning team should now be what the opponents see. i used a lvl 50 daken, lvl 4 bagman, and default 15 doom.
