pvpers sometimes restrict their level and grab high-end gear so they can invade new players and trounce them. he's using the beginner knight gear and fumbling around like a new player to bait the invader into being over-confident

me too. have to say tho these trailers make me nervous with all the browns and greys. hoping they keep the wild variety of environments intact

i imagine they're there, just varied. the jungle is often hidden in brown and gray places and they are, as you note, good about switching it up every hour. the vistas always fill me with a weird childish zest, like I'm looking out on a country field and everything is possible. then I DIED

trailer is v tasty. march 11 confirmed for NA. all of the gameplay vids and trailers seem to have been in the same general area so far. as release gets closer we will start to see more of the environments and bosses etc.

like the idea of cloth map & artbook, have zero interest in figurines. hmmmm.

yup. thing is, when you went to 50% you knew you it wasn't getting any worse. this sounds like getting cursed but every time you die.

i got invited to participate in the closed beta of ds2. i didn't apply for it, i just got a PSN msg out of the blue. so either 1. i was specially selected because of awesome, or 2. invitations were sent out randomly

i got one too. the code has already been redeemed :( i think it was first 5000 ppl this time around. maybe i'll get in next time

You should be okay, in my experience you tend to spend a lot of time bumbling around whilst hollow, meaning you can't be invaded. It's when you get mid-levle that things get interesting in that respect, though when I played it through (admittedly last year) I was never plagued with invasions.
