It's a very well-made game, but a bit vanilla in terms of how warfare is presented. More of a sim than arcade compared to some other games.

Just went hog wild on this summer sale thing - Scott pilgrim, mortal kombat, ratchet and clank collection, and shadow of the colossus, all for under $20

Of those I have only ever played mortal kombat, looking forward to playing it on a new and responsive controller instead of my diseased 360 controller.

Ps+ for shadow of the colossus is $5 ATM. On the down side so far I kind of hate it.

I bought that HD disc and sold it after a weekend. Both games looked neat and were interesting concepts with some of the shittiest controls ever devised.

pretty new to ps3 stuff, how long can i expect to wait before the last of us goes down to ~£15 on amazon? it's still at £35 5 weeks after release, is this normal? also is there anywhere else that sells it cheaper or is amazon the best place?

You've picked a bad example really, sub-£20 used prices usually take I guess 6 to 8 weeks these days, for the majority of mid tier titles. But TLOU is one of those big system-seller titles that could end up holding its value for 6-8 months. See also GTA games, anything first party nintendo, each CoD right up until the next year's CoD comes out, etc etc.

There are plenty of quick-time moments like heavy rain, but there is also plenty of combat, and if you bump up to a harder difficulty where resource management is more important, a second playthrough will be very enjoyable imo

I thought it was OK. I wanted to play Bit Trip Runner 2 and Hitman Absolution isn't that old. Star Wars Pinball should be fine for anyone who's not already on the Pinball FX/Zen Pinball 2 train.

it got some critical notice when it came out - i might grab it at the price. it did eventually come out on PC tho

i didn't like dyad very much at all, it's got a cool vibe but the controls are garbage.
