Table Top Racing is also free right now. Apparently developed by ex-wipeout guys, it has a pretty simple control scheme that works well for iOS... I've only played the first few tracks, but it seems like one of the better racing experiences I've had on the device...

robot unicorn 2 is a lot less fun now that i've maxed out to level 22.

table top racing is not awful, but i left them a neg review for using "oriental" music on the chinese take away level.

also it seems to do that infuriating thing where they try to make it more 'exciting' by making it easy to catch up when you're behind, and difficult to build up a lead when you're ahead. 90s game design. it's more exciting like that if you think dice is an exciting game.

liking Puzzle Saga a lot (yes the name is assy)

huh, that looks EXACTLY like might and magic clash of the heroes

it's kind of a weak version of that tbh

it's not as puzzly as Clash of Heroes, but it's nicely twitchy and the upgrades jack up the game up well. The sounds are crazily bleepy and bloopy by then in a classic arcade way

I'm still waiting for a social situation to arise where I can play Spaceteam.

I'm at the point now though where the objectives are net 10m pts in a single run and run 1m total meters and I am just like wtf what is the point any more

My new runner/upgrade/achievement game is Dead Ahead. Nothing shockingly new, just well executed and fun.

basically the only thing that kills me at this point in TR2 is a) when the game puts like two impossible obstacles next to each other (rare) or when something happens on my phone and the game freezes for a split second (so fucking common ugh what the fuck)

new TR upgrade fixes the dummest super hard combos.

been playing sonic dash some more for the daily challenges, but now i bought all the characters and its boring again.

also basically worked through 90% of puzzle saga -- was great fun while it lasted. snipers + wizards work really well in my experience, and with leaders the key is strength, not defense or health. all about just keeping the attack going before any enemy can get in a blow.

yes on puzzle saga: I have just to get an S rather than A victory on the last level of world 5 on night mode & I'm done. very satisfying game. snipers + princesses for me, plus rock the sorcerer tier 3 attack often.

rfi games. faves have been drop 7, plague inc, angry birds in fits n spurts. looking for games that are not "twitchy" eg temple run; have a good chance of "finishing" the game w/o resorting to, like walkthrus on youtube

my console tastes run toward sports games and ??????????

Tiny Wings might be too twitchy for you but it's one of the greatest games of all time and is $0.99 so try it out.

It's apparently the same game, modulo polygons and texture resolution and some of the cutscenes. But I just PS+'d it so I won't be trying the iOS version anytime soon.

I am thinking of finally upgrading from my iPad 1 so I can buy it. It seems like a great fit for the touchscreen

anyone interested in board games would do well to check out Agricola. It's $6.99 and well worth it. I've played the real life version a few times and they did a very good job with the conversion to iOS. it's probably best on a iPad but i just have an iPhone and it still works well.

for those who haven't played Agricola irl, it's a european-style board game (decent learning curve, strategic resource gathering decisions, you're looking for the most victory points at the end, etc) that has been near the top of boardgamegeek's list of greatest games for years now. it's a lot of fun!

for people who just sort of dabble in those kinds of games but have only played settlers of catan - it's like settlers of catan but better
