honestly I just want to crack the top 100, I can't imagine how long a single game in the top 10 has to have been (my longest to date has been 17 min 21 sec)

my high scores have alternated between using peace, double pink and mega x10 and peace, double pink and slow chain; there's a good argument for either but I prefer slow chain because it lasts the entire game rather than just the first megazone

i have downloaded a non-SMAMC game. it's called dungeon plunder. it's $1.99. it's a roguelike.

I'm for a smamc thread.

Jeff, Wednesday, 13 March 2013 20:52 (thirteen years ago)

one advantage to a smamc thread is then we can devote more time in here to discussing simpsons: tapped out strategies

thx forks, but i hate you for that Simpsons thread title, soooo much

Nhex, Thursday, 14 March 2013 01:52 (thirteen years ago)

i'll ask here since i'm not getting a lot of replies on the board game geek thread. what are some good board games on iphone? i already have settlers of catan & ticket to ride so not those. preferably one that is cheap tbh. i got neuroshima hex which i'm enjoying quite a bit though i'm terrible at it (and get really angry because i feel like i keep getting shitty tile draws).

Jibe, Thursday, 14 March 2013 03:44 (thirteen years ago)

ur welcome nhex

Jibe the obvious choice is Carcassonne, although it is not super cheap... Ten bucks

popeyphonic (polyphonic), Thursday, 14 March 2013 06:01 (thirteen years ago)

yeah that's one i was told about but i have a mental block about spending 10 bucks for an app.

Jibe, Thursday, 14 March 2013 06:22 (thirteen years ago)

worth it

Jeff, Thursday, 14 March 2013 11:38 (thirteen years ago)

This weekend:
Little Things Forever is free; it's pretty much the best "find an object" game out there
Little Inferno is 99 cents; it was one of my top five games from last year and i can't recommend it enough. go buy it.

the craziest half-court shots and wildest WAGs (forksclovetofu), Friday, 15 March 2013 15:55 (thirteen years ago)

note that Little Inferno is iPad only. but i noticed the main site is selling it for $5
http://tomorrowcorporation.com/littleinferno

but honestly i'll probably wait for a Mac port / Steam sale

Nhex, Friday, 15 March 2013 18:13 (thirteen years ago)

so pen & paper is really fun, if a bit short. i blew through the main storyline (although they're supposed to be releasing new ones) and now its all postgame grind.

That said, this is like an early FF style rpg. lots of classes, characters, different team builds with each class really different and skills for tanking, etc. So probably a lot of replay there if you're into playing with that stuff.

The story isn't deep, but its cute enough, with cute modern day references, etc., and the battles are tactical and engaging.

Ridiculous Fishing is out. 3$

popeyphonic (polyphonic), Friday, 15 March 2013 20:10 (thirteen years ago)

king cashing 2 is great

the craziest half-court shots and wildest WAGs (forksclovetofu), Friday, 15 March 2013 20:30 (thirteen years ago)

i enjoyed the original for a while, but eventually got really bored once it set in that there was absolutely no skill involved, whatsoever. does the sequel add in any chance for skill?

( ( ( ( ( ( ( (Z S), Friday, 15 March 2013 20:53 (thirteen years ago)

minimal but the setting is very very clever and has more rpg elements

the craziest half-court shots and wildest WAGs (forksclovetofu), Friday, 15 March 2013 21:09 (thirteen years ago)

the first one had tons of skill. you could remember the patterns and get very good at making it stop where you wanted.

s.clover, Friday, 15 March 2013 21:33 (thirteen years ago)

Little Things Forever is infuriating on iphone

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Friday, 15 March 2013 21:50 (thirteen years ago)

yeah, i wouldn't know how you could do that

the craziest half-court shots and wildest WAGs (forksclovetofu), Friday, 15 March 2013 21:53 (thirteen years ago)

Thank you forks for for little things recommendation. Really calming.

hyggeligt, Friday, 15 March 2013 23:51 (thirteen years ago)

Not on fucking iphone it isnt

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Saturday, 16 March 2013 02:55 (thirteen years ago)

It is for me. Perfect wind down after Saints Row 3.

hyggeligt, Saturday, 16 March 2013 12:42 (thirteen years ago)

ha i must have been in a bad mood when i typed that, it wasn't meant as harsh as it seems.

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Saturday, 16 March 2013 16:22 (thirteen years ago)

Knights of Pen and Paper is funny, charming. Definitely worth it if you like throwback RPGs like Breath of Death, and Guadia Quest, but the gameplay has got some nice little hooks.

Nhex, Monday, 18 March 2013 12:29 (thirteen years ago)

I will cancel sonning you during an online beef so.

Fairway Solitaire free again, grab it you dopes

Nhex, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:22 (thirteen years ago)

ugh, 222MB whyeeee

( ( ( ( ( ( ( (Z S), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:25 (thirteen years ago)

anyway, i'm currently obsessed with dungeon plunder . it's a roguelike, but it has quasi-king cashing mechanics, but with way more skill involved - i.e., actual decisions about how to battle enemies, rather than trying to stop a wheel at the right moment

( ( ( ( ( ( ( (Z S), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:27 (thirteen years ago)

Wait until Wookiefoot debuts their new black drummer, y'all will be some second-guessing mofos
ugh, 222MB whyeeee

Fairway has lots of really nice voice assets.

s.clover, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:39 (thirteen years ago)

Whoops that wookiefoot quote shouldn't have been there

s.clover, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:12 (thirteen years ago)

This ridiculous fishing game is kind of addictive.

Jeff, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:15 (thirteen years ago)

i am playing super sticky golf 2, it is stupid

caek, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:25 (thirteen years ago)

I don't think you will have properly raged at Little Things Forever as an American until you get to the point where it asks you to find a jerry can.

Darth Icky (DJP), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 17:37 (thirteen years ago)

heh, yeah.
i beat little things awhile back; that's the degree of obsessive i am. playing king cashing 2 still
is dragon pass worth the 7 bucks? I am kinda tempted.

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 18:11 (thirteen years ago)

playing king cashing 2 still

dude, seriously, try dungeon plunder out. the interface/graphics aren't as polished as king cashing 2, but the actual combat is so much more satisfying!

( ( ( ( ( ( ( (Z S), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 18:15 (thirteen years ago)

k will do

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 18:17 (thirteen years ago)

Fairway solitaire just owned my whole afternoon

O_o-O_O-o_O (jjjusten), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 20:08 (thirteen years ago)

I play Fairway Solitaire everyday. Love that damn game.

EZ Snappin, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

for the record jerry can is a gas can.

i've gotten almost every upgrade in fairway. i'm so hooked on playing levels until i get that big bonus. that course-a-day thing is hella addictive, especially now that you can get the bonus on the first to get the discount on the next.

s.clover, Wednesday, 20 March 2013 00:26 (thirteen years ago)

dungeon plunder is pretty good.

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 20 March 2013 00:33 (thirteen years ago)

It's good but I wish it had an option to flee. I just accidentally picked a fight with a level 10, as a level 7, and got crushed.

( ( ( ( ( ( ( (Z S), Wednesday, 20 March 2013 01:12 (thirteen years ago)

forks, kings of dragon pass is a trip, I haven't picked it up in a while but if you have a cross-country flight or something to get engrossed with it during you will have fun.

my god i only have 2 useless beyblade (silby), Wednesday, 20 March 2013 01:56 (thirteen years ago)

k i may jump for that one too

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 20 March 2013 02:09 (thirteen years ago)

help i got fairway solitaire and i tapped the little "plus" button in the top right-hand corner of the screen and it made a sound and now looks like it's been pressed but now nothing else is working, i can't tap on any cards, WHAT DID I DO

zero dark (s1ocki), Wednesday, 20 March 2013 02:15 (thirteen years ago)

fairway is plenty buggy; fun game but sorta broken
