Amazon has had some decent bundles lately, like the complete Darksiders 2/all DLC for $13 (that Steam immediately matched). There's a bonus to buying bundled Steamworks stuff from Amazon, though- by default you get individual codes for every game and piece of content.

So who wants a free copy of Sega Bass Fishing for Steam? Come on, people, get it while it's hot fifteen years old!

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Wednesday, 26 December 2012 17:50 (thirteen years ago)

On the offchance anyone actually does want it, just email me and I'll reply with the activation code.

Likewise, any takers for Bioshock 2?

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Wednesday, 26 December 2012 18:05 (thirteen years ago)

OK, Bioshock 2 has found a home. I'm out of codes, but people may want to take a look at the "Desert to Sea bundle" on Amazon- $10 for Spec Ops: The Line (which is $15 on its own on Steam during the holiday sale) with both Bioshocks.

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Wednesday, 26 December 2012 18:35 (thirteen years ago)

And as with the other Amazon bundles, they're all separate codes, so you can break them apart and give away duplicates or games you're not interested in.

That sounds like an awesome deal, though I already own Bioshock 1 + 2, so I'll pass and probably wait for Spec Ops to drop to $5. Being able to give away the keys is definitely a positive in buying from Amazonm though.

Nhex, Wednesday, 26 December 2012 19:03 (thirteen years ago)

i would love to partake in steam sales if i was confident my dumb laptop could play any game worth paying money for. if it could play the demo for portal 1 pretty decently is there a chance it could run bioshock? (i was surprised abt portal)

passive-aggressive dn change (zachlyon), Thursday, 27 December 2012 02:53 (thirteen years ago)

lol ok thanks i can't run anything with this vid card, or this website is a front for a vid card store

passive-aggressive dn change (zachlyon), Thursday, 27 December 2012 03:16 (thirteen years ago)

sorry dawg

Nhex, Thursday, 27 December 2012 03:18 (thirteen years ago)

even with a laptop card, there are probably still a million indie games that will run on your laptop though, like Audiosurf, Torchlight, etc.

Nhex, Thursday, 27 December 2012 03:18 (thirteen years ago)

oh yeah i've been playing whatever dumb free stuff i could find off steam, except this resulted in me spending way too much time playing fucking maplestory, so i'm probably just gonna finally start san andreas on ps2

passive-aggressive dn change (zachlyon), Thursday, 27 December 2012 03:26 (thirteen years ago)

yeah those things aren't always correct--it told me i couldn't run saints row 3 or spec ops: the line, both run fine

one bish two bish red bish blue bish (fadanuf4erybody), Thursday, 27 December 2012 04:29 (thirteen years ago)

well it was right about me barely being able to play portal, and my vid card is literally the "intel hd" card or whatever, so i believe it

passive-aggressive dn change (zachlyon), Thursday, 27 December 2012 04:54 (thirteen years ago)

i went kind of berserk this year

Mordy, Wednesday, 2 January 2013 20:26 (thirteen years ago)

Nhex, Wednesday, 2 January 2013 20:27 (thirteen years ago)

I got:

Arkham City

Tullamorte Tullamore (ShariVari), Wednesday, 2 January 2013 20:36 (thirteen years ago)

Skyrims on flash sale, might as well get that finally

"It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Drunk!" (kingfish), Thursday, 3 January 2013 00:45 (thirteen years ago)

Worst Steam Xmas sale yet? Pretty much everything had been on sale before. All I bought was 30 Flights of Loving.

abanana, Thursday, 3 January 2013 01:13 (thirteen years ago)

Enh, a sale is a sale. got plenty of stuff, still waiting for other crap to come out on steam.

"It's the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Drunk!" (kingfish), Thursday, 3 January 2013 01:19 (thirteen years ago)

thanks to your reminder, i just bought 30 flights. Still need to play FTL

jazbay crostata (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 3 January 2013 01:38 (thirteen years ago)

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in the Steam sale too. Not too many crazy price drops or bundles this time. Surprisingly Amazon and GreenManGaming had MUCH better deals overall. Perhaps this has been inevitable with the Summer sale, Halloween sale, Thanksgiving sale, daily deals, etc. I gotta play FTL too.

Nhex, Thursday, 3 January 2013 02:45 (thirteen years ago)

Today's the last day to get Spec Ops: The Line for $7.50 from Amazon - only $2.50 if you have a coupon on your account from buying something from November/December. Walking Dead is also $12.50 before coupon. Both games are Steam keys, WD being Steam Play PC/Mac too.

i don't think i've heard of any of these games (maybe paranormal?) - are any supposed to be good?

Mordy, Thursday, 31 January 2013 18:58 (thirteen years ago)

was kinda hoping someone would pony up five bucks and guinea pig

There's a ridiculously great bundle on Amazon right now:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1ULJI0/ref=cm_pdp_srp_img_4

$10 for Deadlight, Mark of the Ninja, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, Iron Brigade, and Toy Soldiers. All with individual Steam codes, so you can trade/gift titles you already have.

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Saturday, 2 February 2013 00:52 (thirteen years ago)

Oh, and there's finally an official release of the Hotline Miami soundtrack- it's listed on Steam as DLC for the game, not through any other digital outlets (itunes, Amazon, etc) which is kind of dumb, but whatever. Good stuff.

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Saturday, 2 February 2013 05:18 (thirteen years ago)

getting that amazon bundle, thanks for the heads up

25% off Antichamber (ugh the spelling i know) until Feb 6 which seems like it's already aiming for a surprisingly high place on C&P 2013

Bob-omb The Videogame Industry! (Will M.), Sunday, 3 February 2013 02:42 (thirteen years ago)

March 21st:

Legend of Grimrock - $7.49
Binding of Isaac - $1.24
Half-Minute Hero - $3.39
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - $7.49
Castle Crashers - $8.99

polyphonic, Thursday, 21 March 2013 18:21 (thirteen years ago)

if there's still someone that hasn't played binding of isaac, now is the time

Mordy, Thursday, 21 March 2013 18:25 (thirteen years ago)

― Mordy

Actually if you haven't played it yet, I'd say wait, as the remastered/remade version of BoI should be out around the end of the year & will offer much better performance (no longer in flash) & better controls & new stuff (and will also be available for PS3/vita).

JCL, Thursday, 21 March 2013 19:13 (thirteen years ago)

I'm depressed that I already own literally every one of those games on one system or another

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 21 March 2013 19:16 (thirteen years ago)

I've never heard of giana sisters before

polyphonic, Thursday, 21 March 2013 19:28 (thirteen years ago)

considering these sale (I think) titles, in addition to the already-mentioned Windows ports of Coint & Plick alumni Half Minute Hero and 10,000,000:

A Valley Without Wind 2
No Time to Explain
Thomas Was Alone

anyone got any thoughts on these? also should I be hanging on for these to be daily specials or is it not that kind of sale?

susuwatari teenage riot (a passing spacecadet), Thursday, 21 March 2013 19:32 (thirteen years ago)

No daily specials AFAIC

No Time To Explain was a Greenlighted game originally made in Flash, a goofy platformer expanded to a commericial title. Kinda interested in this one

Still gonna wait for a cheap sale on 10000000 on the iPhone

Giana Sisters looks like a pretty 2D platformer with the hook being it's got metal music

I have the rest already from other Steam Sales. Still gotta play most of 'em....

Nhex, Thursday, 21 March 2013 19:51 (thirteen years ago)

Read a nice review of Thomas Was Alone. Seems like a good one.

polyphonic, Thursday, 21 March 2013 20:03 (thirteen years ago)

FTL is half-price too if anyone except me doesn't already have it

susuwatari teenage riot (a passing spacecadet), Thursday, 21 March 2013 20:21 (thirteen years ago)

i liked FTL but i burned out

i petted a bodega cat today. (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 21 March 2013 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

if you haven't played binding of isaac the best advice is to stay far away from it before an entire month of your life is sucked away into nothingness

This is called money bags. (zachlyon), Thursday, 21 March 2013 22:40 (thirteen years ago)

also don't play it on mac cuz it suuuuucks

Nhex, Thursday, 21 March 2013 22:48 (thirteen years ago)

They added alpha access to certain games. Check out Kerbal Space Program if you get the chance.

The New Jack Mormons! (kingfish), Friday, 22 March 2013 02:13 (thirteen years ago)

Nhex, Friday, 22 March 2013 04:17 (thirteen years ago)
