also http://www.bundle-in-a-box.com/ . Too many bundles.
― get you ass to mahs (abanana), Thursday, 20 September 2012 22:05 (thirteen years ago)
bundle deals are like steam sales; now you can feel guilty for not playing all the games you got cheap the whole year long!
― Fiendish Doctor Wu (kingfish), Thursday, 20 September 2012 22:21 (thirteen years ago)
i'm trying to avoid bundles but this one got me.All of Hector, Chime, Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble and Adventures of Shuggy(?) for 5.50 all on steam.

DHSGiT got 15 pts from me in 2008 C&P! It is really fun.
― Mordy, Friday, 28 September 2012 19:29 (thirteen years ago)
that's basically why i bought that bundle
― EVERYONE COOKING SCMABLED EGGS,CHEESE WITH TOASTER!! (forksclovetofu), Friday, 28 September 2012 19:32 (thirteen years ago)
That game's been in my backlog for like three years now
― Nhex, Friday, 28 September 2012 19:56 (thirteen years ago)
This is a tricky one.
EA's Origin store has a coupon for $20 off -- OS3874XVC. It can be used on games that cost $19.99 or more. So if your cart totals $19.99, everything in it will be free.
It looks like it can also be used with promotions, e.g. the first link here: http://slickdeals.net/f/5316094-Slickdeals-Exclusive-60-off-of-85-different-games (it checks the referring site so it can't be linked here directly)

Just tried it... I added Sims 3 ($12.00) and Bulletstorm ($8.00) to my cart. Both reflected their original price ($29.99 and $19.99) and their new prices ($12.00 and $8.00). I then applied the coupon. Sims 3 continued to cost $12.00, but Bulletstorm now costed $0.00. So... I guess it sorta worked?

I don't know what's going on there. Here's where I heard about it: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=495497

i've played just cause 2 + deus ex. any opinion on whether it's worth getting for the other games?
― Mordy, Sunday, 14 October 2012 20:38 (thirteen years ago)
i don't have any of those games except Deus Ex and will probably never ever get around to playing them but $10...
― Nhex, Sunday, 14 October 2012 21:46 (thirteen years ago)
i'd say worth it for just cause 2 which was a ton of fun to play
― Mordy, Sunday, 14 October 2012 21:53 (thirteen years ago)
doesn't JC2 require Vista? lol
― Nhex, Sunday, 14 October 2012 21:55 (thirteen years ago)
yeah my console gaming has been JC2 for the last, er, six months? I'm at 60+ hours now, maybe 1/3 through? I'm going mega complete since it suits me, & it's not gotten boring yet.
― Euler, Sunday, 14 October 2012 21:55 (thirteen years ago)

i'm always baffled how they can "run out of keys"
― Nhex, Monday, 15 October 2012 18:03 (thirteen years ago)
x number of licenses, usage rights, payment to studio, etc
― let's have sex and then throw pottery (forksclovetofu), Monday, 15 October 2012 18:20 (thirteen years ago)
i get that, but it seems like either they should be able to generate keys pretty fast, or just take it down. it should be pretty easy to figure out ahead of time that if they have a limited # of keys to sell, to shut it down completely at x# of sales, up the price, whatevs
― Nhex, Monday, 15 October 2012 21:38 (thirteen years ago)
my guess would be that they just don't know what they're getting into sometimes and they may get inundated with demand. internet is serious business
― let's have sex and then throw pottery (forksclovetofu), Monday, 15 October 2012 21:48 (thirteen years ago)
but yeah, it's nutty that they can't figure this out. it was available right after i posted and i think still is.
nope, still unavailable
― Nhex, Monday, 15 October 2012 22:28 (thirteen years ago)

you recommend?
― let's have sex and then throw pottery (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 16 October 2012 20:09 (thirteen years ago)
actually i have no idea, but it's got enough critical attention that it's worth a shot
― Nhex, Wednesday, 17 October 2012 03:21 (thirteen years ago)
What are the other games like? Reprisal appears to be a p. straight Populous remake, which was briefly tempting because I love Populous, but then I remembered, I could just play Populous (and still do)
(I would buy it anyway except I haven't played the games I bought in the last 2 Steam sales or the last Humble Bundle yet)

― Nhex, Friday, 26 October 2012 15:50 (thirteen years ago)
oh, i didn't realize it went by seasons. do i need to play the first 2 to enjoy the 3rd? (i've only played hit the run many years ago)
― Mordy, Friday, 26 October 2012 15:53 (thirteen years ago)
from what i understand no, they're not really connected... i'm only halfway through season 1 myself, from most accounts they got much better as they went along
― Nhex, Friday, 26 October 2012 16:23 (thirteen years ago)
not sure if these can be shared, but here's my steam codes for the games I already have, first come first served.
