I just spent a short flight playing spell sword. Good recommendation! Lots of fun! Also, unlike some of the games, it's a small download and free. Def worth a download.

little things forever is a low stress "find the hidden object" game.
at two bucks i have gotten my money's worth and then some.
TBRR i have been hooked on Magic Planeswalker the Nerdening. It's the first time I've spent ten bucks on an ipad game and it's sadly worth it.

Scrabble is worth the investment, you can play speed games against the computer and it's fun.
oh and DEFINITELY try Quarrel; it's great right up to the point where it gets basically impossible on the harder settings.

Super Hexagon might be the ultimate bite sized game. It's the new one by Terry Cavanagh, the guy who made VVVVVV. So far my longest game was 15.05 seconds! It just came out this week and is on sale for 99 cents for a couple more days, I think. Recommended if you like super simple, but extremely tough arcade syle gaming with a retro soundtrack. There's a free version you can play online, but it seems much better on iOS.

Haven't played in awhile. I wish the look and feel wasn't so shitty but I like the core gameplay.

58.52, thanks for the inspiration Jim. The game does do a number on my eyes too. I think playing some of the more advanced levels (as you unlock them) helps make the normal game seem a little more manageable.

42.43 high score for me so far. addictive.

Snuck above 60s on Hexagon. Around 30s on Hexagoner, 8 on Hexagonest.

And 6s on Hyper Hexagon.

Yeah, I spotify and play games on my morning commute. No way to turn off the game sounds, so it was just playing with Todd Terje this morning. Not the worst mash up, but nothing I want to revisit.

Discovered last night that Hexagon is 3.6 times easier on the iPad.

i really love hexagon. for some reason this year i'm all about difficult games.

ok i started hexagon this morning despite not really liking hard games and it's pretty addictive. mainly because you do gradually get a little better.

whoever it was that mentioned spellsword, thanks, that game is quite fun and i'm getting a lot more hours of entertainment from it than any other free game i've ever played !

I'd say 90% on my hexagon games end in 18 seconds. I'm really bad when you get the pattern where the thick walls come in and you have to gradually rotate to escape.

Anything beyond 18 seconds is just dumb luck.

i just cracked waking mars, it's pretty interesting so far
