the marker is a thing you can place at a spot so that you can automatically go back to that spot, in the demo for instance you're up the top of this ramp which gives you sweet air when you get to the bottom and you can keep just going straight back there by pressing LB plus up on the dpad or something.

You can? I never noticed it. I can't tell you how many times I would fail some trick and then spend an eternity trying to get back in position to try again, very frustrating.

To be fair I didn't spend a lot of time with it, but the first one was much more intuitive. I made something cool with it on my first try.

you can glitch out of the map in skate.2 and just skate around in the city for 6mins, which is nice

also apparently the skate.2 video editor has a moveable tripod camera? tht sounds like it'd be great for setting up some nice shots

i'm gonna get skate 2, yeah. I'm just trying to do this challenge at the Matrix for Rob Drydek and Big Black where you grind to 360 Flip to FS Crooked. It's annoying me.

see that video you put up cozen, I never thought to do that spot by grinding so did some stupid combination of fliptrick to manual to fliptrick. It took me ages. Doh.

i went for the middle spot where it's lowest and got it eventually.

oh god playing this online was horrific. Some dudes are so good, was playing spot battles, the guy does a bunch of 360 flips, hardflips etc. connected with manuals, gets up a 3x multiplier and then hit up a grind and did a bunch of flips on that, he got like 5000, I got about 800 :(

I just picked up Skate 2 (I didn't play the first one as I just recently got a PS3) and managed to get a very strange bail about 5 minutes after I left the tutorial park:

Absolutely loving it despite my inability to complete challenges. Sucking horribly at a game but wanting to play it for hours is a great, great thing.

playing skate online noises me up so much because the cunts just do 180 360 flip to manual to 180 inward heelflip and get a stupid 3x multiplier and it makes you feel like an idiot. Really want to play it with like minded pwnz0rz of the ILG variety once I get it going.

should I get skate or skate2? skate is cheaper obviously.

Get Skate 2 for PS3 - I'd love to play online but as was pointed out most everyone are asshats.
