ha, blizzard feared their servers would go down with the rush of people trying to get in. they were supposed to have a 45 second waiting time or smth like that to lighten the load on servers, but i guess that wasn't enough.

yeah, the plot/characters are the dumbest thing by far. it's kind of charming how they didn't try to make the voice acting any better

hah I actually thought the voice acting in D2 was pretty good, the voice acting in the D3 commercials/trailers was pretty cringe inducing tho

I agreed with a lot of this - IMO it's the same issue playing difficult NES and SNES games on an emulator, where you know you can just create a ton of save states and 'cheat' the game, which in turn makes the whole idea of playing it a lot less fun - you don't really feel like you 'beat' anything.

that article was a rollercoaster ride of TRUTH BOMB / WTF? for me. it did make me want to play his new game when it comes out tho.

it made me wanna play diablo3 AND his game. The suggestion that a "number accumulator" isn't a game is ridiculous; I will buy D3 as farmville for hacknslash nerds though and own that. I love that he put up a number accumulator and his readers promptly played it to killscreen

So, I got a few hours this afternoon with it and... I paid for the full game. Total blast with other people.

well, i just tried to play and got fifteen minutes into the start (which is the same damn thing as the demo, so gonna have to grind through act 1 again) aaaaaaand servers are now down.

I played with two friends this afternoon and it was such a blast. Even though there is no voice chat, just having a complimentary player can make it fun.

So, um, guys? If you have an authenticator, MAKE GODDAMN SURE you wrote down the restore code somewhere, because if you uninstall it from your phone after, say, realizing that you are terrible at Starcraft 2 and you've wrung all the enjoyment you possibly can out of its single-player campaign, you are now boned.

I'm trying to get Blizzard to reset it- including scanning a government-issued photo ID to prove I'm really me- and after two days, still nothing.

That's serious bullshit. Totally uncool.

I tried a Barbarian at first because I was super rusty (I hadn't even used a mouse for a few years since I got a trackpad), and now I''m trying the monk. I like the monk more, I have to say.

monk is the thing to do for me

ok so monk sounds like a fun char. still havent bought this because no free time at all to play it, but soon i'll get to it. and then go mad because my internet connection sucks and i die all the time due to lags (at least that's what happened a few times during the open beta)
