That's funny. The game that was sort of a prototype for Escape from Puppy Death Factory is included in the Pirate Kart. It's called Ssshifty. Escape from Puppy Eath Factory is better, though. Anna Anthropy's write-up is cool:

I was watching some let's play of Rayman Origins with a little kid doing co-op with an adult. It was cute. The kid didn't want to talk very much.

Sucks that a good-looking game like Aliens: Infestation has to be on a portable system.

bamcquern, Friday, 9 March 2012 00:28 (fourteen years ago)

21 way tie for #76 -

JESUS

polyphonic, Friday, 9 March 2012 00:28 (fourteen years ago)

one vote, 10 pts, woo

to be followed by another 20 two votes, 10 pts presumably?

Nicholas Pokémon (silby), Friday, 9 March 2012 00:37 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah we're gonna be on 10 pts for a looooong time.

polyphonic, Friday, 9 March 2012 00:41 (fourteen years ago)

God, that guy in the let's play for the pirate kart is such an asshole. I want to kick him in the nuts.

bamcquern, Friday, 9 March 2012 00:50 (fourteen years ago)

is Aliens: Infestation good enough to warrant me finding my DS (haven't played it since we moved in Sept), finding the charger, finding my r4 (or whatever it's called) pieces, finding the game, loading it onto my card, and playing it?

Mordy, Friday, 9 March 2012 01:21 (fourteen years ago)

alternatively: good enough to purchase?

Mordy, Friday, 9 March 2012 01:22 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah we're gonna be on 10 pts for a looooong time.

I solemnly swear that we will not.

this is my receipt for your receipt (Z S), Friday, 9 March 2012 01:49 (fourteen years ago)

Well I mean at the very least we will be there for like 30 entries.

polyphonic, Friday, 9 March 2012 02:17 (fourteen years ago)

re: aliens: infestation - I'm the one that voted for it but stuck it at the bottom of my list. it's fun but gets tedious. a little too much backtracking for my tastes and I wish enemies didn't always spawn from the same spots. it's no super metroid but it does have its charms. plus aliens and space marines and stuff.

original bgm, Friday, 9 March 2012 02:38 (fourteen years ago)

I got Rayman Origins, played it for a bit with a friend. Now the game is absolutely gorgeous, and for that alone I don't regret purchasing it, but I don't quite see why it's a great platformer? Or does it get a lot more interesting after the first world?

Nhex, Friday, 9 March 2012 04:40 (fourteen years ago)

The videos I've seen look attractive, but the game looks undesigned.

bamcquern, Friday, 9 March 2012 06:00 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, as pretty as it is, there's no real coherency to the characters or world whatsoever. I have no idea what the heck I"m looking at half the time.

Nhex, Friday, 9 March 2012 06:07 (fourteen years ago)

all those titles in the pirate kart are fkn hilarious

Jeff LeVine: I tried out the demo a while ago (a year ago?) and thought it was pretty neat. Very relaxing / very nice music / a little confusing.

1986 Olive Garden (Z S), Friday, 9 March 2012 22:56 (fourteen years ago)

got the PC demo of this and it's not chill enough imo. it's no Endless Ocean or Ecco

Kony Montana: "Say hello to my invisible friend" (Noodle Vague), Friday, 9 March 2012 22:59 (fourteen years ago)

why dont we just skip down a bunch and list #51-100093 later? i mean even the action poll didnt try to do 109 entries

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:02 (fourteen years ago)

and that was for ALL ACTION MOVIES EVER and had like 100x more voters

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:03 (fourteen years ago)

but it's way more than 109 with all the ties, right?

40oz of tears (Jordan), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:03 (fourteen years ago)

you should run your own games poll and decide how you want to do it.

jjjusten: bulletstorm demo for me was basically elevated thx to playing the crysis 2 demo just before it but i would be the first to admit thats kinda like giving a thumbs up to spoiled milk because at least it washed down the taste of that shit sandwich you just finished

1986 Olive Garden (Z S), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:48 (fourteen years ago)

lol is "#76" a 21-way tie?!?!

A Little Princess btw (s1ocki), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:51 (fourteen years ago)

We're going to get through this, people. We're going to get through this.

1986 Olive Garden (Z S), Friday, 9 March 2012 23:52 (fourteen years ago)

Crysis 2 is visually so beautiful. The graphics, sheesh. But no one ever talks about this game so I guess the game must be boring or somefin

polyphonic, Saturday, 10 March 2012 00:18 (fourteen years ago)

s10cks u gotta chill man, srsly

Nhex, Saturday, 10 March 2012 00:21 (fourteen years ago)

I voted for crysis 2 and I guess it's mainly because I never had a pc which could run crysis 1 and yeah, it's technically and visually amazing. And then I guess as a military-style shooter it's pretty vanilla. Stealthing kind of breaks it, you could speed run the whole thing in under an hour pretty easily if you just stayed cloaked, so any bits you do actually play, you need to actvely choose to play. But yeah, it held my attention and I finished it and it was a pretty fun time overall.

JimD, Saturday, 10 March 2012 01:03 (fourteen years ago)

Quote for the back of the box right there.

Because I don't want the eyestrain or neck pain that a portable would give me. Portables are for children. Plus, why is a small screen better?

bamcquern, Saturday, 10 March 2012 02:26 (fourteen years ago)

not 'better' but smaller screens are more... portable? the positives for a game designed to be played in bursts are p obvious. this was a fun game for me to play on the subway one time when i had an hr long ride last summer or a couple nights when i couldnt fall asleep, you know?

original bgm, Saturday, 10 March 2012 02:38 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, I can see that.

bamcquern, Saturday, 10 March 2012 03:13 (fourteen years ago)

Portables are for children

so much wrong dawg

Nhex, Saturday, 10 March 2012 03:47 (fourteen years ago)

think the DS and its target audience kinda shattered that idea.

i'll give you the PSP
