i have never successfully been able to join a game. is this something weird with notifications? i use the banner kind---whenever i acknowledge it, it just drops me into yaniv and there's no indication of how to join an online game

On Wednesday I installed Monsters Ate My Condo.
Yesterday I realised I was seriously addicted.
Today my phone got stoled.

I will give it more of a run, but so far the gameplay is sort of boring, and the visuals are cute but lacking in depth? Or something? It doesn't seem like a game so much as a world to explore, and the world isn't that compelling.

do u guys have some tip n tricks i dont really understand how the scoring and everything works

it involves setting up combos with the monster powers
red / blue are defense (stop time, straighten tower)
green = duplicate combos while active (i.e. get two bronze for every one, two gold for every one)
gold = mega point bonus

cat condos are really important - they autoupgrade your combos to the next level. so say you combo three bronzes into a silver, instead of a silver it will be gold. you get the cat combos by combing bad blocks (the grey bricks and bomb blocks)

if you keep the cat condos low on the tower, they will survive for a while and upgrade your stuff. 3 cat condos comboed together = EVERY building gets upgraded, even normal blocks become bronze

the other thing is balancing building more combos/diamonds vs. feeding the monsters for more immediate points/effects, you need to be constantly feeding the monsters metal towers for those effects and bonuses after the first few minutes

P much otm. Basically feed the yellow one the most and also the green one when you're about to score a lot of combos, especially if you're about to make a diamond. Use the blue and red ones infrequently and only when you need them.

Beat Hazard Ultra is free for a day. Kind of seizure inducing... I'm not totally sold on it, but it's worth trying out if you haven't already (some people like it a lot).

Me too. Takes too long to get a game properly started, it's too easy to have one get screwed up due to pure bad luck, and basic "pulling blocks out of a pile" mechanic isn't fun enough.

I just look at it in two modes. My build mode in which I'm setting up massive combos and I keep red and blue guy around, then right before I'm ready to go hyper I bring green and yellow back, feed them and go into super duper mode.

huh, not letting the special condos build up at the bottom jumped my avg score from 10B up to 80B without really trying

u mean u feed them to the monsters instead of letting them turn into diamonds

well it's like, build special combos until the cement/bombs start falling, then use the specials you have built to manipulate things so that you can build a cat block or two, and then if there are block underneath them left over feed them to the monsters, then build combos on top of the cats (you will build diamonds much faster this way, esp with the green dude)

I can't spot when the monsters are going to switch out, never mind make a decision about which ones I want & when. What am I missing?

They switch out if you make a combo matching their color
