So was pocket league any good?

The usual, more or less – it's the style I prefer – more like Game Dev and Grand Prix Stories than mall/academy. Fairly easy and so many carry-overs, though, that it becomes a walkover at some point, and the matches are unskippable – tedious to sit through one 11-0 victory after another. But I got 2.5 fixated playthroughs out of it, so no complaints.

Also has pushed me to the point of lunacy where I'm curious to know more about the lives and origins of King Akbar, Chimpan Z, Grizzly Bearington and Kairobot.

Really looking forward to getting off work and playing the just released iOS port of Eufloria (iPad only), which is sort of a cross between the ambient gaming of Osmos and the RTS genre:

"Eufloria is a game of space, conquest, and exploration based on themes of plant life and flowers rather than space marines and spaceships."

What are fun and not too hard and preferebly cute and brightly colored games for me to play on zee ipad? Please to recommend. I know there were some recs a couple months ago but my task for tonight is to finally start playing some so any more are welcome.

I think Scramble has a play n pass mode? Ive never tried it tho.

The mode I mean, I play Scramble all the time.

not sure async is such a boon; games only take about 15 mins

turns are so shot it would maybe feel a bit stilted async

Couldn't work out how to make it asynchronous anyway but I just beat cozen IN REAL TIME.

if you close the app after initiating a game you get alerts when it's your turn

you can only call it if you have 7 points or less

i would suggest playing it for like half an hour to get the hang of it, you get it pretty quick and then you get ADDICTED!

clearly some ppl are better at this than other ppl, so there's some skill involved and not just luck, but it's hard to figure out what i'm doing wrong when i trade a card worth 10 in 4x and keep getting other 10 value cards back
