TBH, PS3 Media Server is a pretty neat little program, I have it on my laptop and it streams and converts p much anything I throw at it to the telly via the PS3. Only drawback for me was our wifi is fucked (long narrow house, lots of brick walls) so it streamed badly so I gave up.

If Sony can't get this PSN mess sorted out before E3, then it'll overshadow anything they announce there.

You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live. It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download very soon; we’ll be sure to let you know when.

How much psn stuff is playable on psp? I just want to play Scott Pilgrim...
― Crazed Mister Handy (kingfish), Thursday, 2 June 2011 18:16 (fifteen years ago)
that one isn't.
― When Zeester Met Koffie (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 2 June 2011 18:33 (fifteen years ago)
Dammit.
I will say, playing emulators on the psp is great( depending on the genre). Handheld Chrono Trigger and Link to the Past is great.
Anybody know if Neutopia is worth it?
― Crazed Mister Handy (kingfish), Thursday, 2 June 2011 20:39 (fifteen years ago)
haven't played it but I hear it's apocalyptically terrible
― you penis-curling she-devils (jamescobo), Thursday, 2 June 2011 22:14 (fifteen years ago)
it's really hard. not terrible but not great either. try Golden Axe Adventure instead.

so i already have infamous and wipeout, and dead nation looks like a boring robotron game which i'd hate. so i got the Ratchet and Crank
thanks for 0, Sony
― remove this man from the internet (Ste), Monday, 6 June 2011 01:38 (fifteen years ago)
if you had more than one account set up before the network went down then you can download more than two games.as well as my UK account i had a US account set up so i could snoop on the US store and its let me download two more games. thanks Sony! (Japanese & Hong Kong stores are still down so haven't tested them yet)
― zappi, Monday, 6 June 2011 08:43 (fifteen years ago)
Good tip although I wasn't interested in anything besides LBP and Infamous. (I already have Wipeout+Fury.)
And now that I realize LBP is realllllly not for me (as I had suspected). Stephen Fry plus cute platforming = braindeath
― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Monday, 6 June 2011 09:16 (fifteen years ago)
what kills LBP for me is the moving in and out of the screen, it doesn't seem to control properly, feels kinda broken.
― zappi, Monday, 6 June 2011 09:36 (fifteen years ago)
ah forgot LBP,yeah got that already too and the second one
And yes the in and out is fricking frustrating, and they didn't change it for the second one either so they must think it works. But you're right it doesn't, and it works by itself leaving you with no control over it.
I still like it a lot though, Infamous and LBP probably the ones I'd go for if I had none already.
― remove this man from the internet (Ste), Monday, 6 June 2011 09:44 (fifteen years ago)
yeah, one point they say "don't worry about moving in and out of the screen, it'll happen automatically" and well, it sure didn't feel like it.
― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Monday, 6 June 2011 09:48 (fifteen years ago)
i'm also just allergic to the cuteness of it all. when stephen fry said something like "collecting stickers is the height of cool on little big planet!" i was like "ugh!" and dropped the controller instinctively.
― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Monday, 6 June 2011 09:49 (fifteen years ago)
like, that's great, but i just wanted a free game, i didn't want to get involved in virtual sticker collecting
― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Monday, 6 June 2011 09:50 (fifteen years ago)
"ugh!" and dropped the controller instinctively.
haha
i felt the same way about collecting stickers, but then i got more involved in creating the levels and you realise then that the stickers had a purpose after all.
