yeah this was playing it straight---when I was mainlining Civ Rev I was getting 4 hrs & thinking uggh this is ridiculous but I guess that was good? alas; I'm the type who gets antsy about the # of charges my batteries will sustain over their lifetime so I hate big drainers but I should just get over it.

anyone played sword and sorcery?
Yeah. It's barely a game, but it's really beautiful.

War Pinball HD is awesome! Better than any of the console pinball titles imo

Chaos Rings is currently p much the indisputable best of the lotInfinity Blade is also pretty greatZenonaia is nice if you get boners for 16bit Zelda games
― ToeJam & Lewis (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 20 April 2011 23:06 (fifteen years ago)
Infinity Blade is not reeeeeeeally an RPG though. You only level up by running through the same six rooms again and again and again and again, bashing up the same handful of monsters ad infinitum.
― it always seems to have dick smith in it (Autumn Almanac), Wednesday, 20 April 2011 23:45 (fifteen years ago)
Fair enough.

sale on EA games this weekend
bagged NBA jam, scrabble HD and risk HD for 59p each. see they've released an HD version of NBA jam too but that's sadly not included in the sale
― thetan is cheatin (cozen), Thursday, 21 April 2011 20:04 (fifteen years ago)
scrabble HD
Wow, very nearly bought this until I saw that it only does US English. Fuck that.

(if anyone here can report otherwise please do)

Across Age DX is worth the 0.99 I paid for it. Neat little 16-bit action rpg.
― Crazed Mister Handy (kingfish), Friday, 22 April 2011 14:45 (fifteen years ago)
Why are there three versions of that game?

― thetan is cheatin (cozen), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 09:26 (fifteen years ago)
havent played coin drop but it looks nice.. any good?
old news but drop7 was bought by zynga and is now free! so everyone should grab it and feel the addiction
― diamonddave85, Wednesday, 27 April 2011 14:38 (fifteen years ago)

― 40% chill and 100% negative (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 14:40 (fifteen years ago)
I lost my iphone two weeks ago and can't afford to get a new one and the one thing I really miss the most is drop7. So, for those of you who don't have it yet, you should get it if don't mind becoming addicted.
― Jibe, Wednesday, 27 April 2011 14:51 (fifteen years ago)
I kicked the addiction. It just doesn't hold my interest anymore
― cop a cute abdomen (gbx), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 15:07 (fifteen years ago)
Yeah, I still haven't updated drop7 from the old version and as a result I have to update all my other apps one by one instead of the "update all" feature :/
― jj n° fad (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 15:08 (fifteen years ago)
FYI if you purchased it in the past and update it to the current version, it stops working and just tells you to download the free Zygna version with ads.
― jj n° fad (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 15:09 (fifteen years ago)
i was able to upgrade mine to the ad-free, even though it says it's the ad supported version
― diamonddave85, Wednesday, 27 April 2011 15:25 (fifteen years ago)
Yeah but doesn't it constantly nag you to upgrade or something? All of these reviews of both versions are abysmal bcz apparently upgrading fucks you over
― jj n° fad (Stevie D(eux)), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 15:38 (fifteen years ago)
iirc, when you update the old, paid version, it loads up and then redirects you to an app download in the app store. the app it redirects you to says that it's the ad-supported version but when you install, it doesn't show any ads and i haven't been nagged to upgrade or anything ymmv of course
― diamonddave85, Wednesday, 27 April 2011 16:15 (fifteen years ago)

You can still play original Drop7 after the update, you just have to dismiss a nag message when you start it up.

― Gravel Puzzleworth, Wednesday, 27 April 2011 19:40 (fifteen years ago)
yes, it's fun for about 15 minutes, after which point it begins to suck horribly
― I just like… I just have to say… (Starts crying) (DJP), Wednesday, 27 April 2011 19:47 (fifteen years ago)
I liked it but stopped playing pretty quickly. It was my first experience with a rogue-like.

oh man you guys unpleasant horse
so simple, so good, it's a "spinoff label" game b/c it's a little "edgier" than usual popcap stuff, kind of the dimension to popcap's miramax, but still so adorably polished
perfect little timekiller

All Big Fish games are 90% off ($1.19 each here) for a couple of days. They're those really gorgeous hidden objects/puzzle/etc games, like Drawn HD and stuff.
