I've grabbed Secret of Mana. What's Song Summoner?

Question on all of these RPGs: how easy is it to "quicksave" or "quickload"? In other words, how quickly can I hop in and out of gameplay?

IIRC all of the ones I've played have been "save whenever the fuck you want" and not that horrible "keep playing, you'll probably find a save point in the next 45 minutes!!!!" types

amidst the RPG madness to which I am subscribing fully I wanna put in another word for Trainyard, which has become the perfect "bathroom" game for me (if you don't know, now you know): on the bonus boards now & they're tricky! but each has been ultimately doable so far after a few tries.

have there been any other good iOS puzzlers recently?

Yeah, I have hopes of maybe one day finding a game as fucking awesome as Trainyard. I've sort of given up on it though bcz a recent iOS update wiped out some of my progress and I refuse to re-do the levels.

it's kind of an rts but then you also slide around your entire group of fighters and healers etc. by tilting the phone

and you're on these interesting looking isometric chessboard levels with monsters and dungeon-esque rooms

worth checking out if any of that intrigues you, i suppose

im thinkin about grabbing ff3 and secret of mana but do the controls etc work well on ipad?

yeah this was playing it straight---when I was mainlining Civ Rev I was getting 4 hrs & thinking uggh this is ridiculous but I guess that was good? alas; I'm the type who gets antsy about the # of charges my batteries will sustain over their lifetime so I hate big drainers but I should just get over it.

Chaos Rings is currently p much the indisputable best of the lot
Infinity Blade is also pretty great
Zenonaia is nice if you get boners for 16bit Zelda games

Infinity Blade is not reeeeeeeally an RPG though. You only level up by running through the same six rooms again and again and again and again, bashing up the same handful of monsters ad infinitum.

I lost my iphone two weeks ago and can't afford to get a new one and the one thing I really miss the most is drop7. So, for those of you who don't have it yet, you should get it if don't mind becoming addicted.

Yeah, I still haven't updated drop7 from the old version and as a result I have to update all my other apps one by one instead of the "update all" feature :/

FYI if you purchased it in the past and update it to the current version, it stops working and just tells you to download the free Zygna version with ads.

Yeah but doesn't it constantly nag you to upgrade or something? All of these reviews of both versions are abysmal bcz apparently upgrading fucks you over

iirc, when you update the old, paid version, it loads up and then redirects you to an app download in the app store. the app it redirects you to says that it's the ad-supported version but when you install, it doesn't show any ads and i haven't been nagged to upgrade or anything ymmv of course
