Really? After trying most of the big names (Assassin's Creed, Mirror's Edge, Chaos Rings, etc) I'd have to say Inf Blade is, IMO, the most well-developed and maybe even best "video game" for iOS

What about the other one? Aralon?

I hate the controls, I hate the setup, and the technology is only impressive since it's on my phone. fuck a Infinity Blade IMO.

(my pick for best proper iOS video game is probably the iOS NBA Jam, which is shockingly well-done)

Too bugged to be playable, even now. I got about 8 hours in then something happened which meant every chest was empty...including the ones that contained quest items. So that was a complete game breaker, and I couldn't face a restart.

No, the easiest way is to just hug the ground all the way through. Let up on the gravity a bit in the valleys to build up momentum, but then hug the ground as you crest so you get no air.

You can go surprisingly fast this way!

that's actually how i started playing it at the beginning, when i didn't know what fever was or perfect slides etc.

Still cant get to island 8. This is because of a moral failing.

I just keep playing for the pretty colors.

Pretty much ready to give up on Tiny Wings bcz trying to get 34sec in fever mode is impossible and pointlessly frustrating.

Sword & Sworcery is really nice. Not challenging at all, but a ton of atmosphere. Very short though.

I've grabbed Secret of Mana. What's Song Summoner?

Question on all of these RPGs: how easy is it to "quicksave" or "quickload"? In other words, how quickly can I hop in and out of gameplay?

IIRC all of the ones I've played have been "save whenever the fuck you want" and not that horrible "keep playing, you'll probably find a save point in the next 45 minutes!!!!" types

amidst the RPG madness to which I am subscribing fully I wanna put in another word for Trainyard, which has become the perfect "bathroom" game for me (if you don't know, now you know): on the bonus boards now & they're tricky! but each has been ultimately doable so far after a few tries.

Yeah, I have hopes of maybe one day finding a game as fucking awesome as Trainyard. I've sort of given up on it though bcz a recent iOS update wiped out some of my progress and I refuse to re-do the levels.

it's kind of an rts but then you also slide around your entire group of fighters and healers etc. by tilting the phone

and you're on these interesting looking isometric chessboard levels with monsters and dungeon-esque rooms

worth checking out if any of that intrigues you, i suppose
