iPhone games (also Ipod Tooch/iPad games too)

Mirror's Edge is short, but expands on Canabalt rather neatly and sort of feels like the console version should have if it wasn't so bogged down by combat.

World of Goo is amazing, one of my favourite games of the last few years, I played it on Wii but think it should work fine on iPad in theory.

I just bought it, but won't have a chance to play it until this evening. Stupid job.

I played a bunch of Goo last night and am enjoying it quite a bit. It reminds me of Angry Birds in some ways but the puzzles are much more satisfying.

Playing Angry Birds and Crimson Gem Saga right now. AB is wittier than expected, and CGS will hopefully entertain me on the holiday plane ride back east

Aralon's getting mixed reviews. 30 hours of gameplay but also plenty of bugs. Might wait for an update but it's at an introductory price of £3.99 at the moment.

Sooo tempted to buy this. I presume they're emulating Bethesda games right down to the 'plenty of bugs' thing.

I am downloading basically all of the EA games since many of them are as much as 90% off.

Ok, grabbed Sims 3 + Mirror's Edge. Any super essential ones? (I don't like the way Madden controls on the iPhone, don't really like racing games, and I think I've played enough SimCity, Tetris, Scrabble, etc on other platforms, don't need them on my iPhone too)

Loving all these tips, just wish iTunes had a usable way of displaying every app you've bought/downloaded.

I really wish they had a feature that organized your apps by frequency of use so it could intuit which apps I want on my front page and which ones i want buried in the back.

I couldn't figure out how to do the ninja wallclimb and gave up. I thought it was pretty intuitive up to that point though.

You just swipe. That's the entire control scheme- swipe up, swipe down, swipe left or right...

You just swipe up right before you hit the wall! And then swipe up again to jump btwn them

Hah yeah, last week I bought Sega Mega Drive Collection on disc for $17 but I won't spend $16 on a full modern Square Enix game because it's ON IPHONE.

Then again i got mirrors edge and assassins creed and they were both repetitive and kinda boring. Though they were both on sale for 99c.

Where's Wally cost me $1.19 and is absolute dog shit. I tip that much for coffee in two days but was still hell of annoyed.

I'm playing Osmos at the moment, which is dreamy and... difficult.

I feel like I am missing something key about Spider because I find it really boring.

*still* playing trainyard, 2 bonus levels to go, the penultimate one is killing me. been stuck on it for over two weeks.

Oh, oh oh oh. Oh. Spider is *not* dull. Spider is an afternoon spent in an abandoned house, poking through the things the owners left behind, trying to work out what happened to them. The bug-catching is a v. original mechanic for delivering the narrative, and getting really good at it is pretty satisfying, imo, but Spider is really all about the secrets, the puzzles, the story.

WINtA is free, and is by Masaya Matsuura. Haven't tried it yet, got to be worth a go though.
