iPhone games (also Ipod Tooch/iPad games too)

i am getting addicted to 9 innings but still don't 'get' baseball. anyone want to do a simple tips type of thing? like i get that what a fast ball or curve ball is but what are the others and where should i be putting them? is it ever worth pitching outside the box? what is the point of doing the 'hold yr bat there' instead of swinging for it option? i always get run out when i do that.

always worth pitching outside the box, especially on an 0-2 count (where they have 2 strikes against them and no balls) because they'll be more likely to take a swing at a bad unhittable pitch. 'hold yr bat there' aka bunting is generally used to advance a runner by sacrificing the batter. you can use this technique to 'produce runs.' for instance, if your lead-off hitter hits a double and is sitting on second base with no outs, then you can bunt to bring him to third and then hit a fly popout (or even try to bunt again) to bring him home for the run. really fast runners can bunt down the third base line and outrun the throw to first, but even in MLB that's uncommon and i've only done it a couple time in 9 innings (generally with Rollins).

I generally only bunt with no outs - I hate giving outs away in general

Really enjoying big cup cricket, is pretty easy to bowl/bat averagely, need some good timing and pick right shots/ball to really cane it.

anybody play Infinity Blade?

I just finished Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles. It was OK but seriously it got so repetative; it's one of those games that introduces all these new weapons and moves that are A) difficult to do and B) completely inessential to the game. It's really not that good.

I am trying to start Zenonia but can't figure out which path to choose!

It's a fighter on rails. You walk up to some predetermined thing and fight a creature. I think that's it.

It's incredible if you like fighters, I suppose. The graphics are certainly very nice and fluid. Loads of touch-slashing and touch-blocking. Music's good.

No free roaming, it's all locked down. Don't expect an FPS. If you liked Epic Citadel, wait a couple of days and look at some videos.

eh, the only actual flaw I saw in there was the bit about the framerate chugging; everything else seems to be exactly like the iPhone SimCity with more screen space, which is really all I wanted.

Anyone have good things to say about Mirror's Edge and/or FIFA 11?

Mirror's Edge is short, but expands on Canabalt rather neatly and sort of feels like the console version should have if it wasn't so bogged down by combat.

World of Goo is amazing, one of my favourite games of the last few years, I played it on Wii but think it should work fine on iPad in theory.

I just bought it, but won't have a chance to play it until this evening. Stupid job.

I played a bunch of Goo last night and am enjoying it quite a bit. It reminds me of Angry Birds in some ways but the puzzles are much more satisfying.

Playing Angry Birds and Crimson Gem Saga right now. AB is wittier than expected, and CGS will hopefully entertain me on the holiday plane ride back east

Aralon's getting mixed reviews. 30 hours of gameplay but also plenty of bugs. Might wait for an update but it's at an introductory price of £3.99 at the moment.

Sooo tempted to buy this. I presume they're emulating Bethesda games right down to the 'plenty of bugs' thing.
