I seriously can't stand grid, can't get to grips with it at all. Am loving cracked and nuketown though, amazed that I've got my best killstreak so far on the latter.

I feel like I get more or less the same sort of concentrated pleasure from the new pac-man game as from this game.

good grief no, as Jeff points out, that's the first place to get grenade spam. On that map I usually sweep behind whichever house I'm spawning at and catch people coming through, occasionally making a foray to the front of the house to pop off a few shots and head back. I'm definitely not one to go piling in running and gunning on that map - I value my lives too much, I'd much rather go, say 10/5 than 11/20.

still can't put a plan together on radiation or grid tho, even though that's come up more than the others today, with maybe the exception of crisis.

Incredible. Is it the only usable lmg in the history of these games? It seems like it pops to ADS as fast as any other weapon besides a pistol or smg.

It's just bloody awesome. Extended mags a necessity tho, fire rate is v high.

i am now fully climatized back into pc multiplayer fps gaming, if that helps.

Im at level 49.. thinking about prestiging but not exactly sure what I will get out of it. Maybe I will get to be put on the multiplayer teams with all the steeged dudes I generally play against with my team of the greenest of newbs.

lol sadly I am an adult and dont have that much time to play. I love checking out player cards of multi steeged dudes and see that theyve played for 4 days +. Im over 30hrs and Im pretty ashamed of it.

yeah, 14 prestiges, took me 30 odd hours to steeg once, if we put that down to 30 from the first one on - since i was shit for the first hours of play and thus wasn't get that many points - you're still looking at well over 2 weeks play :|

back in the day if CS had had levelling and prestiges i could have prestiged hundreds of times. i played it for an average of 2 hours a day for 5 years.

I prestiged last night. k/d ratio is a less than robust .75. I blame experimenting with completely useless weapons such as the skorpion.

Kd 1.86. Ranked 5000 and something in the world at hardcore team deathmatch.

Does anyone else persistently have the problem where they get connection errors in team-based games? I have no problem ever with FFA or the wager games, but when I'm playing anything with a team it's a crapshoot.

So it turns out I was looking at my win ratio. My k/d is a somewhat more respectable .94.

I have connection errors now and again but not like every game..

34-0 on jungle.huey is too good in that map.

haha well i dont want to spoil the twist for you, but since i know you and know you have a brane in yer skull, i will guarantee that you will figure it out about 20% into the game and then have to muddle through the last 80% waiting for your thick ass character to figure it out.

script is also awful, esp wrt things like trying to figure out how to make a bunch of russian gulag escapees say that stupid "hoo-ah" thing because the kids love that shit you know, plus hilarious casting of ice cube as a fellow vietnam grunt throwing down slang because thats how the black people talk dont you know.

i blew through the single player of both MW2 and this over the weekend and this is dumb as shit in every possible way in comparison - and MW2 isnt that bright to begin with.

the multi is nowhere near as good as mw and mw2 imo

i heard there is a button-mash element where you have to bury a k-bar tactical knife in JFK's chest. t/f?

there are definitely some bad gameplay moments too, including closing the game with the dumbest quicktime trigger pull event EVER. (haha not JFK btw xpost) lots of points where the purpose of your waypoint makes no sense, and cheaty endless respawn shit and so on. grenade throwback mechanic is frequently broken as well which is super agravating.

Some good CoD numbers in the paper this morning:

There are about 323 million kills every 24 hours - more than the entire population of the USA.
28 million of those were headshots.
2 million were stabbed in the back.

6,250km (if laid end to end) of crossbow bolts were fired.

Actually in general the multiplayer maps in this feel kinda dumb and cartoony compared to mw2
