iPhone games (also Ipod Tooch/iPad games too)

I keep trying to decide if it is worth it for me to get a Touch (or an iPad?) so I can play iPhone games. I really don't want the phone part of the iPhone, but I'm jealous of all the games I know I would love to be playing.

Puzzle Quest/IPhone gets insanely boring somewhere around the halfway mark.

I got an iPad and Game Dev Story and that baseball game.

I looked up and whoops, there went my evening!

if iPad were NES, 9 Innings, GameDevStory and maybe Drop7(still haven't played it) would be the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt pack-in

bought Zen Bound after reading a lot about it but so far I'm struggling to see the attraction (I guess I'm not really looking for Zen wisdom when playing on my iphone in the metro)

It's definitely a baseball game, but with a very fun presentation style, and good touch controls.

i would not advise 9 Innings for non-baseball fans... Angry Birds or Cut The Rope are much better games than 9 Innings but 9 Innings appeals to my awful baseball addiction.

Angry Birds has been awfully laggy since the Game Centre integration.

does everyone have minigore? it's free atm, i don't know how often that is the case. anyway, it's the only action-based game i've played on this thing (my 3g phone) that both controls well and compels me to play regularly

Yeah, the Zen Bound games aren't really suited for train environments. They're more for playing alone at home if you need to unwind after a stressful day at work.

Rage HD is a bit shit really, looks gorgeous but there's no game there. Galaxy On Fire 2 is soaking up increasing amounts of my time, the first few hours are quite annoyingly hard but once you get a bigger ship and a couple of upgrades it all gets a lot more fun.

Anyone else playing Words With Friends? It's fun but these ransoms always quit whenever I bingo..

The updates for DoodleGods have been cutely amusing fun. latest one was a kind of RPG theme pack, with wizards and dragons and raiding parties saving a princess and whatnot.

Yeah I already did that with Peggle. Once drank a ton of Four Loko and sat in my friend's basement until 7am. Also am only a bit into Assassin's Creed: Altair's Whatever, and I haven't even started Zenanana yet, so it's more like a "hey if it's cheap I'll pick it up so I can play it in a few weeks or whatever" thing.

Also am I the only one that just simply does not like Angry Birds?

I bought Angry Birds for some reason and regretted it immediately. So joyless.

It feels like every shot is a crapshoot and I'm sure that, you know, you get better at aiming over time or whatever but this game gives me no incentive to continue playing it for that fucking long.

isn't it? i don't know any actual gamers that like it; even casual gamers seem kinda meh on it. It's game for non-gamers.

Angry Birds takes a bit of time to get into, but once you're hooked you can't put down the bloody thing.

I never understood people's hesitation to buy a $1-2 iPhone app. I wait for sales too, of course, but $1.19 is so ridiculously cheap in software terms that you're bound to be up on the deal, even if you only spend 10 minutes using it.

I must say, Angry Birds is the sort of game you play out of compulsion, not necessarily for enjoyment.
