kinda wish you could reskin games like trainyard. like the UI is ok, but it seems...off, just a little.

the touch algorithms suck supremely on trainyard imo

another feature request: a popup counter that shows how many squares youve traced out. would make longer union puzzles go a lot more quickly.

like how the gang is basically a visual programming language. it's like max/msp (I think?) or something

Trainyard is OK but I prefer PathPix (aka DRAWING from Pic Pic) for my drag-to-connect-stuff-centric puzzles.

love trainyard. got up to 143 stars before i got stuck. now i'm working on this Horhey level and trying to figure out how to synch these tracks up correctly

it's not just you---the game implements it poorly imo

finished the trainyard. relied on pure dumb luck for a couple of the harder ones, but would play again/keenly awaiting updates.

think it's not very good at 'predicting' your movements i.e. you need to move your finger from one side to the other side to make the track

I've just got 3 or 4 levels left on Trainyard. Really enjoyed the game although the last couple of Cities have been more about trial & error rather than logical reasoning.

i'm kinda feeling like i'm almost obliged to get an ipod touch just so i can get on board with the other major platform i'm ignorant of.

gotta say that trainyards lack of randomness (v drop6's capricious distribution of unwanted 4s) has been a nice change of pace. solving a puzzle makes me feel smart, getting a high d7 score makes me feel lucky

can anyone seriously recommend getting a touch as a gaming platform? is it worth the cash in the same way as a ds?

srsl tho, either way, if u really need to be up on whatever's going on in gaming, touch gaming really feels like a new thing, even with the DS' stylus going on.

i feel like the fact that most iphone games are like $1-5, you can't really lose over the long run

really hopeful for the prospects of amazing puzzle games on touch platforms tbh. esp ones that involve building constructs to solve problems.

anyone played eliss on iPad? I love it, conceptually, but I think you must need the real estate of an ipad to make full use of the multitouch (which is central to the gameplay after a certain point)

which makes sense because "eliss" sounds like the brand name for a contraceptive pill

i kinda liked the demo but haven't 'splashed out' on the full thing.

re. portability the touch is a great platform esp. compared to the clunky DS but as a "thing" in gaming...actually from what I know of you forks this is right up your alley since it's like indie gaming city for super cheap, & I get the impression there are lots of gems being missed.
