two weeks pass...

Cozen: Unfortunately the GMA 950 video you have is just below the cut-off for Mac Torchlight requirements, though it does support it in Windows. Also, there are supposedly issues with the card drivers if you're not using 10.6 on it.

Beyond Good and Evil for $5, is that worth grabbing?

JimD, Sunday, 21 November 2010 11:25 (fifteen years ago)

AoE 3 for 10 cents is ridiculous, that's the amazing side of DLC no doubt

mo loko (cozen), Sunday, 21 November 2010 13:09 (fifteen years ago)

you can also get it for 10MS points on GFWL

mo loko (cozen), Sunday, 21 November 2010 13:10 (fifteen years ago)

if the point was to get me to download the games for windows client, it worked.

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 21 November 2010 14:19 (fifteen years ago)

oh, i see, there's also an updated terms of use that probably reflects evil shit alterations to how they can fuck you over with MS points and XBox Lilve and waives kinect spying so that microsoft can watch you jerk off in front of the tv. Fair trade!

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 21 November 2010 14:25 (fifteen years ago)

JimD it's actually $6.99 to buy just one game.

my sex drew back into itself tight and dry (abanana), Sunday, 21 November 2010 16:00 (fifteen years ago)

o yeh.

JimD, Sunday, 21 November 2010 20:51 (fifteen years ago)

I'm not even an RTS fan but for 10 cents, why not

Nhex, Sunday, 21 November 2010 21:20 (fifteen years ago)

well cuz it's not installing would be my answer
microsoft customer service not being real helpful

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 21 November 2010 21:37 (fifteen years ago)

The last thing I needed was another game, but I am not passing up AoE3 for 10 cents. Absurd.

macaroni rascal (polyphonic), Monday, 22 November 2010 02:12 (fifteen years ago)

If the point of putting a game on sale is to sell your service, GoD is doing a very, very bad job of that today! No product keys for almost everyone who tried to download AoE3 today.

macaroni rascal (polyphonic), Monday, 22 November 2010 02:24 (fifteen years ago)

Games for Windows, rather. No idea what GoD is. lol

macaroni rascal (polyphonic), Monday, 22 November 2010 02:28 (fifteen years ago)

There is no GoD.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 22 November 2010 02:36 (fifteen years ago)

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Monday, 22 November 2010 03:07 (fifteen years ago)

Nhex, Monday, 22 November 2010 04:20 (fifteen years ago)

Nhex, Monday, 22 November 2010 04:21 (fifteen years ago)

yeah i'm fuming
was planning on a new computer shortly, backed up bookmarks and all media's on an external but even so this is a kick in the nuts

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Monday, 22 November 2010 04:39 (fifteen years ago)

Wow that sucks. Sorry forks that you gotta deal with that late on a Sunday. Hope you can fix it.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 22 November 2010 04:40 (fifteen years ago)

think i'm gonna have to just buy a new pc; can't even get this open in safe mode.
prolly gonna have to see if I can pay work IT guy to salvage C/D drives and hit up dell to have something delivered in the first week of December. Not a good time for it but i suppose it never is.

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Monday, 22 November 2010 16:22 (fifteen years ago)

That fucking blows. So sorry.

EZ Snappin, Monday, 22 November 2010 16:24 (fifteen years ago)

forks can't you boot it up from a Windows disk?

Lindsey Lohan is the new Extreme Noise Terror (onimo), Monday, 22 November 2010 16:29 (fifteen years ago)

Computer shipped without a physical disk. Trying to see if i can get my IT guy at work to help me get it booted after the holidays but i just started there and he's not on site, so...

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Monday, 22 November 2010 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

the steam thing they're doing right now is every day they pick 30 people and give them the top 5 games on their wishlist for free

so start loading up your wishlists

my sex drew back into itself tight and dry (abanana), Thursday, 25 November 2010 18:04 (fifteen years ago)

Is Recettear worth playing? Note that i usually quite enjoy the JRPG mechanic despite myself.

Crazed Mister Handy (kingfish), Thursday, 25 November 2010 18:22 (fifteen years ago)

Nhex, Thursday, 25 November 2010 19:10 (fifteen years ago)

recettear's gotten great reviews.

old LOKO heads (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 25 November 2010 19:56 (fifteen years ago)

feel like I'm always asking stupid questions like this, but: will a current gen 13" MBP run most modern PC games under boot camp at an OK pace (medium details eg)?

mo loko (cozen), Thursday, 25 November 2010 20:48 (fifteen years ago)

gonna use this thread here also to gripe about how the console deals look pretty weak this year, unless you're looking for a PSP or DS

Nhex, Friday, 26 November 2010 01:38 (fifteen years ago)

i think i'll pass on today's pack (see zappi's post)

my sex drew back into itself tight and dry (abanana), Friday, 26 November 2010 18:13 (fifteen years ago)

done my wishlist. would be cool if any ilxors get a freebie

F-Unit (Ste), Saturday, 27 November 2010 11:18 (fifteen years ago)

Indie pulse pack is up - gettin' it pretty much just for Bit Trip Beat, as I already have Audiosurf, and I'm curious enough about Beat Hazard and The Polynomial to make it a regretless purchase.

Nhex, Saturday, 27 November 2010 20:57 (fifteen years ago)

lfd2 £3.75

F-Unit (Ste), Saturday, 27 November 2010 21:54 (fifteen years ago)

really tempted to get the King's Bounty bundle and the Lara Croft game...

Nhex, Sunday, 28 November 2010 06:26 (fifteen years ago)

Orange Box $7.50 on steam

my sex drew back into itself tight and dry (abanana), Sunday, 28 November 2010 19:21 (fifteen years ago)

Picked up the Pulse Pack today- I was hoping for a steeper discount on Bit.Trip Beat alone, but its discounted price is the same as the pack. Who knows, some of the other titles could be decent (though I'm pissed I can't give away the extra copy of Audiosurf).

At amazon I picked up AC:Brotherhood ($40, not the best deal but December is going to be HELL at work and I need a nice pile of completist open-worldy video games to keep myslef sane), Just Cause 2 ($26) and Resonance of Fate ($20).

muus lääv? :D muus dut :( (Telephone thing), Sunday, 28 November 2010 21:06 (fifteen years ago)

you're going to LOVE Just Cause 2

Mordy, Sunday, 28 November 2010 21:08 (fifteen years ago)

Just Cause 2 down to £9.95 on Zavvi Mega Monday tomorrow + Dead Rising 2 at £17.95.
