I bought Kingdom of Keflings last night and am loving it; it's basically Warcraft without war, which sounds awesome to me! If you love micromanagement of resources and construction, you'll love this---it's blissful OCDing, esp. for someone whose cash job isn't micromanagement of resources and construction.

Bought L4D last night and had a lot of fun playing it with my neighbor. Good times!

yeah I love observing how people choose their avatars: to look like them or not? I want a character that *I* like to look at it, so I almost always play games as a woman. I tend to separate how my character looks from how they act, though; I guess I do that irl too. But I can see wanting to present yourself through your avatar; from what people are saying here, that sounds like the predominant way of choosing.

It varies title to title, annoyingly. But yeah, plenty of US games will work in the UK.

i GAVE AWAY my fucking dvd player with a usb-in for divx because I was using the xbox instead. Do I have to choose whether I can play on XBL and get DLC or whether I can use my xbox to watch divxes? What kind of crap is this

so is it impossible to activate streaming netflix if you only have 1 internet connection? I have to take the line from my computer if I want to use xboxlive.

1) get activation code from xbox. disconnect box.
2) connect computer, get on netflix, put in code
3) no work :(

You really should. Streaming movies and itunes wireless from my mac to the xbox is like something from the future

Wish I could do it from Linux. Appaz there's no way to get the 360 to pick up any of the various Linux tools, unless I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Fucking Microsoft. In the video menu you can play videos but not audio files, even though it shows them to you. In the music menu you can't play anything, despite it showing you both video and audio files.

How about this: JUST PLAY THE FUCKING FILE.

Also, it constantly disconnects from my PC without explanation. I have to restart the 360 in order for it to reestablish the connection. WHY??

are you hard-wired or wifi? we have 2 xboxes running here, and the hard-wired streams faultlessly, the wifi less so.

so I had to try running GTA4 from the harddrive and all of a sudden I am driving into trees and buildings that pop out of nowhere, not to mention driving through the tunnels which looked like I was in space. have you experienced this too, with other games?

so... apparently you can download xbl demos, burn them to a dvd and read these on an unmodded xbox? might be handy for next week's japanese resi 5 demo

i learned this wqhen i made a japanese xbl silver account, some games worked, some wouldn't operate on the console. only (some) japanese companies seem to do this, from what i have learned.
