i have a 720p 26" toshiba and wipeout HD is the tits

My 23" monitor doesn't support HDCP, so the PS3 wont display to it :( Fortunately I have the other TV to use, but I'm pretty disappointed. Bought Resistance 2 and Valkyria Chonicles for a total of £20 on my way home to give me something to play. Both are good, but I suspect Resistance 2 needs the full 1080p to live up to it's hype...

Resistance 2 needs to be a better game to live up to it's hype.

It's just got DVI and VGA, but apparently to use the DVI it would still need to support HDCP, and I don't think there's a VGA option for PS3? Either way, I can't see any way out of it but to buy a 40" TV.

1080p, well very few ps3 games actually are in 1080p and Resistance certainly isn't - it's simply upscaled on a 1080p tv - so it's going to look (basically) exactly the same as on a 720p tv (the games native resolution is 720p). Many ps3 games (and 360 games) actually run at a lower resolution than 720p

The Playstation 3 is currently a game system which will not be getting LBP2 until next January :(
as an aside, it looks like next January's going to be super-loaded again - what the hell is everyone trying to avoid this year, Black Ops?

no.apparently you can share your downloaded PSN games with up to five people if you trust them enough to trade your login/pwd codes.I am very much down with this. Anybody not at the five person max want to do this with me? Slocks and antexit are at max.

I think Nhex is not-so-subtly calling ILXors "randomppl on the internet"

two PS3 film streaming services have launched in the UK in the last week, Mubi and Lovefilm. you wait years for one to come and then....
― zappi, Wednesday, 10 November 2010 13:49 (fifteen years ago)
Would like to know how many films I could stream a month on the 'light use' (5.99) lovefilm package; lovefilm won't tell me unless I actually sign up.
― xtc ep, etc (xp) (ledge), Wednesday, 10 November 2010 13:54 (fifteen years ago)
I think its 2 hours per month....
Its weird as love-film don't let you use credits for streaming, I would forgo DVDs + blu-rays entirely if I could just have 3 films per month streamed but they don't do it that way.
― my opinionation (Hamildan), Wednesday, 10 November 2010 14:04 (fifteen years ago)
2 hours are you serious?? why don't they just call it "one movie"
― irritable bol syndrome (s1ocki), Wednesday, 10 November 2010 14:04 (fifteen years ago)
omg that is ridic. it seems they haven't separated it from their dvd package so you pays your 5.99 and gets 3 discs a months plus 2 hours streaming. fucking useless. cunts.
― xtc ep, etc (xp) (ledge), Wednesday, 10 November 2010 14:12 (fifteen years ago)

its unlimited on the 9.99 package tholovefilm interface is a little clunky & theres too much loading screen stuff, could be cos its just launched thoughmubi interface is beautiful
