s1ocki when you say 4s are truly evil i feel as though you've elevated to another plane of wizardry. i am still on the humble grasshopper plane of getting rid of 1s and 6s. 4s seems like a friend - so easy to dispose of! do you mean that 4s are evil in the end game? because yes, there i can agree.

kinda hate how the computer in 9 innings will let you pitch 5 perfect innings and then belt off 3 doubles in a row despite you pitching everything to them outside the strike zone

but the computer lets you do that sometimes too

I don't think I've played a game yet where the final combined score was less than 10 runs

6s u definitely need to keep your eye on in the lower stages (they're major cock-blockers), but nothing is worse than seeing a 4 pop up at '5' row or above. i mean, the real worst is a 5 on 6 level or 6 on 7 level but at that point you're usually fucked anyway. 4s on level 5 and up are just deadly. 1s, you can usually dig out or work around no matter where they are. i mean, not always, especially when they're all in a cluster (worst is like, 1211), but on their own they're easy to dispatch.

god i've thought about this a lot.

so uh I got my first 'tie' in 9 innings 2011 today. went 12 innings and the game just ended and now I have a tie on my record. found out that ties are acceptable in japanese baseball so maybe this game is following japanese baseball rules?

I suck at 9 innings. Although I just realized you have to level up your cards. What determines if it fails or not?

Also, my pitchers wear out quick fast. Especially if a couple of runners get on. I'm lucky if I can get my starters to go 4 innings.

all my players are at level 3, some at level 4 right now. was getting frustrated with too many failed level ups + level ups costing 1000-2000 points a pop after level 3, and I refuse to buy my way to success, although it seems that this system actually reflects pretty well how MLB works. my team seems to be doing alright though

xp the more hits/runs your pitcher gives up the faster his stamina goes down. I've pitched a few complete games so far with javier vasquez

I have some games where I use every one of my relief pitchers. So I'm fucked for the next game. Seriously, these guys need to keep their shit together if they give up one goddamn base hit. I've never cursed more at an iphone game in my life.

Finally got a complete game in 9 innings. 40 games into the season, I'm finally starting to have a decent team.

my beloved Tampa Rays (GO YOU RAYS) is batting like .392 and has a team ERA of around 2 (both first in the league), yet we're still 4 games behind the Yankees for the division title.

is this the best game available for the iPhone? as much as I love Peggle & Drop7 & Canabalt & WWF I'm starting to think yes.

I played the solitaire game on Carcassonne nonstop for about three weeks. I haven't played the multi-player version very much, though.

I play the Internet game with friends. It's really fun. Had 3 tables going last night. Constant action, no waiting. Some things I hope they fix but overall it's a fun game.

Where I stand with my new iPhone w/r/t games:

• Trundle is fun but sometimes frustrating but the cute little "ouch!" sound when you die makes it all worth it
• drop7 is fucking crack. I basically just paid $2.99 to cease all actual IRL productivity
• I hear Angry Birds is good, and also that pachinko thing IGN is saying is the best thing of all time ever--comments?
• Are there any really solid FREE games? Tap Tap is fun and all but eh.
