how do i get my 360 control pad to work on my pc. it just picks it up as a "xbox 360 control device via recharge unit" and doesn't actually allow you to see it as a game pad. ?

it may be in catamaran mode

plug that into your pc and sync the controller to the dongle.

If it's a wired controller, you should be able to just plug and play

it's a wireless controller, but i have a usb cable that it can plug into the xbox with for recharging. or is that not an option on the pc, do i have to get that specific dongle?

right - you need the dongle - you can't just plug it in with a usb cable - sucks. Dongle sucks too... if you sync the controller to your PC, you have to re-sync it to your xbox and vice versa every time you want to use it with one or the other. As a wired 360 controller is only a few pounds more, I recommend getting that instead of a dongle as it's much more convenient and you will like not having to deal with recharging batteries.

i was part of the beta; it is a definite improvement overall even for long term.

i know i am sorta a UI change hater and all, but currently the thing thats bugging me the most about it is all the new sounds for selecting/moving through menus ets that sound very fake wii cutesy bleep bloop to me.

maybe theres a setting to turn them off, have not looked because i prefer to complain.

kinect is one of those things where if i won it in a contest i would be kinda ehhhh is there a cash option so yeah i will not be buying it.

SMB might deserve its own thread...just a brilliant little game. I've exhausted the Xbox demo and now I'm just waiting for the Steam version later this month (with Mr. Minecraft, dude from VVVVVV, Machinarium robot, etc).

really loving the snoopy dogfight game. the demo is killer.

it's definitely a top ten 2010 game for me.

yeah i'm on it. i recall liking the demo when it came out then it slipped my mind. though i also kinda liked braid so who am i to talk...

i liked braid too!
but limbo is totally different visually, emotionally, storywise, gameplay... they're both slightly precious, short, oddball, non-linear puzzlers; that's about all they have in common.

really dug the demo but kinda resent buying dlc games these days :/
