The Playstation 3 is IDENTITY THEFT

My take... obviously the games they showed didn't look very compelling (except for maybe the ping pong game). I imagine more interesting games will be revealed further down the line. The devices themselves looked okay, but the cost seems prohibitive. Having to buy a camera, two of the main controllers (possibly four) and at least one of the sub controllers (possibly two)... and that looks like more money than a stand alone ps3!?! You're going to need a few REALLY impressive game experiences to get me even interested - not just some casual shovelware and Wii HD clones (I assume there will be PES with Wii controls and Grand Slam Tennis, which would at least be a start). I've also heard, like Wii motion plus, the controls tend to get out of sync. If that's true, definite pass.

I do have a growing feeling both Move and Natal are going to basically flop.

They need to integrate twitter and 3D to make it truly cutting edge.

PS3gate update OK so I finally GOT PAID but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger on one of these sumbitches; for some reason I thought the price had got more reasonable but they're still pretty pricey here guh

It's still a lot of money alright, especially when you start adding in extra controllers and an HDMI cable and no doubt there will always be another price drop. Even though I've got a 360 and a ps3 (and a Wii), at times I do really feel like it's overkill. Honestly, if it wasn't for my hopeless love for Wipeout HD I would probably trade in my ps3 as either HD console has more good games than one person can play.

not with cables. but you can switch back and forth with your 360 if you can handle that.

Anyhow, as cobo says, you can get an extra cable pretty cheap these days, but those little extra costs do add up + you're probably going to want to buy some games too. None of the consoles are exactly cheap (except for a ps2).

just remembered my monitor doesn't do 1080P which is no big issue on xbox where 1080i and 720P both look great but on PS3 720P looks all blurry : /

I want to pick up valkyria chronicles, demon's souls, resonance of fate, yakuza 3, way of the samurai 3, and wipeout HD... but one thing at a time. console came with UC2 so I'll focus on tht first

It shouldn't look blurry @ 720p - you must have a setting wrong (should look about the same as the 360, about). I'm sure Uncharted only runs at 720p anyway - you must have a setting wrong (look in system settings under resolution or scaling or whatever) or the cable setting wrong (or a crap cable?).
