What anniversary did Gatwick celebrate a few years ago.

I am considering giving away my 360 to my cousins and sticking entirely to PS3. Is this a good idea y/n and why

The only real reason is if there were any really killer exclusives coming up... But I don't think there are, and I can always play it over there anyway. Czn I thought you were a xbox stan. how come you play your shooters on xbl

I'm definitely not ready to get rid of my 360. I like the ps3 but the 360 is more well-rounded as a games machine. The ps3 is my blu-ray / ps3 exclusive / media machine.

I got 'Pure' for my kid as a wee £5 stocking filler and it's been on for two days solid - quick fix accessible fun with a pretty good learning curve (so far).

I also got 'Colin McCrae: Dirt 2' from my brother and so far (6 races in) I'm not v impressed - steering feels really light and slippy. Weird option to have a damage setting that makes the car look damaged but have nothing go wrong with it.

I just bought a big fuck off HD with part of my xmas bonus money. Wanted to get a smaller HD but no transfer utility comes with any of them except the 120 gb. Mission accomplished, Microsoft.

I've never played either but wd like one of the xbla board games: catan or carcassone. which wd people recommend? do we have any regular players of either here?

I love Catan on 360, on PC, as a board game, etc. The 360 version is a little slower than I'd like but a (related) plus is that the AI is pretty tough and consequently I lose a lot...enough to keep me pissed off enough to keep playing. If I had my 360 right now I'd love to play against you. Come August I will. My brother also loves Carcassonne (as a board game and on 360); one of these days I'll try it too.

and why hasn't anyone brought any of the white dwarf board games to xbla? geek me wd love to play some warhammer 40k/necromunda/space hulk... hell I'd even take hero quest!

I expect the answer to my games workshop question is 'who wd bother to buy the miniatures then?'

I mean I don't even want fancy graphics - lots of the artwork by GW painters is great, digitised versions of their landscapes and models would be perfect

carcassonne on the 360 is excellent if you turn the music off and add your own.

I tried Ticket to Ride and the presentation was fine but the board game didn't really appeal to me. It was the first time I'd tried it though.

Yeah, I play a little Catan on the 360. Good stuff.

I tried the (very short) Death by Cube demo, and didn't like it at all. The most Robotron-like of the Robotron clones. I think the thing I liked least about it was how stiff the angles of your shot felt, compared to how fluid it feels in Geometry Wars.

ok so in the running "how did this even get to the stage where they try to sell it to you" game, i suggest that everyone go to games on demand and check out the screen shots for "Brave - A Warrior's Tale"

Darksiders is really good; it's basically Arkham Asylum if Ronnie James Dio had been in charge of the plot, but the dungeons are near Zelda quality

I played the holy mamacitas out of the first one. Incredible game (if that's your thing)

Guys I bought an Xbox360 last night! I know, cutting edge, but hey. My profile name (forget the proper term for this, "friendtag"? whatever) is Z2S5 if anyone wants to be my virtual friend.

All I have right now is Mass Effect II, so I am currently SQUINTING AT THE SCREEN. Goddammit, I wish one of the reviews I had read would have mentioned that all the font in the game is size 2 Arial Narrow, FUCK.

Are there only two baseball games, MLB2K10 and The Bigs? If so, that's disappointing because I'm looking for a good sim to play along with the new season. I tried out a demo of MBL2K9 last night and *bllurlluuuurrrrrggghhhh*'d all over my rug.

I had 4/4 once when I first got my machine, and it turned out it was because I had bought one of those external cooling units that you plug into the back of the 360, and then run the power cord through it. Anyway, it was trash, so I got rid of it and then my 360 worked fine after that.

OK the first two dungeons are Zelda-quality and then it degenerates into charmless desert hijinks and interminable Portal plagiarism, but it's still pretty good

Ok so this pb winterbottom thing seems pretty great from the demo

I would be quite impressed if it keeps up that standard of pithy verse throughout the full game

Was telling my friend about it and he was saying "fuck off, that doesn't exist"; this was before I told him about the protagonist being constantly taunted by an enormous cosmic pie

I'm ten minutes in and Mass Effect 2 is already GOTY material.

I've played much more of ME2 and I still stand by what I said. Really well written, lots of fun. I love the missions -- some of them are incredible. Esp the Jack related ones (both the recruitment mission and the loyalty mission were A+)

any of you yankee fuxx pick up deadly premonition?

Darksiders is a pretty decent God of War knockoff with some RPG elements for variety.

Bayonetta is much more fun and playable than the demo led me to believe.
