I want to make this recipe:

http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/brazilian-chicken-with-coconut-milk/Detail.aspx

1. What will happen if I sub banana peppers for jalapenos?
2. I only have red onions and spring onions. What can I use for the "onions" in this recipe?

Thank you

Are they fresh banana peppers, or pickled? I don't think pickled ones would work at all.

1. It won't be spicy hot at all
2. Use the red onions

They are fresh organic banana peppers.

Not spicy hot is fine. I need to use these peppers. I get an organic food box delivery every week and I always try to make do with what I have in there without buying extra stuff. means being a bit "creative:.
