Enormous pineapple!

In a moment of exhausted post-gym pre-risotto delerium last night, I bought a huge pineapple from the cheeky fruit'n'veg barrow-boy outside Goodge Street tube. It'll get properly ripe in a few days, but then what should I do with it? I am intrigued by mixing savoury i.e. meat with fruit, but have no idea how to go about it other than in Little-Chef stylee gammon and tinned pineapple.

While you want for it to ripen, take lots of drunken photos with the pineapple on your head or on various other parts of your body.

Or make a salsa with fresh pineapple, chopped serranos, maybe onion, some lime and tomatillos (or tomato) with rich grilled (or smoked?) fish.
