I would guess that someone who doesn’t care for average steak would care even less for very good steak

I have had delicious burgers and steaks but it is probably 3-5% of the ones I have had in my life. Most are pretty bleh.

I think I just got irrationally angry at the amount of bad burgers I have had in my life.

I feel like most of the time i know when I'm ordering a good burger.

If I order a mediocre burger it's usually scratching a meat craving itch and I know what I'm getting (or not getting rather).

Rarely order steak out. Just so easy to do well at home, and there's always tends to be something more interesting on the menu.

I may have agreed with you guys re: burgers until the past weekend. I was working at an outdoor food festival and an neighboring vendor brought us over a tray of burgers. The tray sat there about 30 mins then I picked one up and... omg. Transcendence. Fresh, quality beef cooked about medium with a great smoky/bbq taste. Two slices of american melted on top. Only other ingredient was just a few wisps of sliced red onion. Not even sure there were any liquid condiments. I hadn't had a great one in a while, but a burger can best the BEST THING.

I love blood but most burgers are overcooked, seasonless, too huge pieces of meat. Burgers just remind me of depressed divorced dads, whack barbecues and fat-strong beardnecks.

I've had some amazing burgers but like I said too much of the majority are blech. Like... it's food...congrats.

The last good burger I had was during a pub quiz in Feb. It had a fried egg and blood pudding on it. The piece of meat was secondary.

I had a carnitas burrito today. I always have them skimp on the rice although that makes my burrito a little soggy diapery. I get everything on it. And extra hot sauce.

Rice is so useless. Except in sushi. And I guess for sake.

also isn't the baby-sized burrito a specifically bay area thing (the mission burrito)? new mexican burritos are small and basically just one ingredient throughout ("hand-held")

at our taqueria an unwrapped wet burrito is twice as wide as a wrapped burrito because they wrap em really tight & they are full of stuff

The ones in LA/California are usually big (idk, 5 inches?), have red or green sauce, and melted cheese on top

Inside there’s usually rice, beans, meat, and sometimes lettuce/tomato/guac

The wet burritos in Vancouver, Canada are small and mild like most things in Vancouver and not common

Extra sauce on anything is pretty terrible.

although this may be why i don't like soups or stews.

it isnt extra. It is the sauce.
