INDIES 2022: 2 Wrestlers and Speedball

I tried to think of a clever name. I just have to say that the first show I'm watching of Wrestlemania Dallas, Josh Barnett's Bloodsport 8, has been absolutely incredible. It's worth the buy.

I know this will probably be the same as the other thread I started for the indies, but this match was so good. Worth seeking out.

gonna use this thread since the other options are wwe, aew, and danhausen, even tho it's not "indie" per se but i have finally been getting into some of the bigger joshi promotions and omg. stardom is just. so great. considering how relatively easy it would have been for me to dip my toes in over the past few years im kicking myself for waiting until 2022. mayu iwatani is like, immediately one of my fave wrestlers now, unagi sayaka's heel work is weird and funny and great, donna del mondo is an extremely cool faction, syuri is an actual murderer. i plan on diving into some tjpw shows next (so long as i keep this new adhd hyperfocus up at least), very excited for yamashita and sakisama's superheel stable and more maki itoh and yuka sakazaki

Joshi can be hard to place, since depending on the company, some have relationships with other larger companies (STARDOM with NJPW, TJPW with AEW & GCW, etc.) and others don't at all. Still works either way.

Mox dropped the GCW title to Gage in a title vs. career match. Looking like fewer people with connections to AEW will be able to work in GCW and have more exclusive contracts. Interested to see how this is going to change the independent scene.

GCW looking to tour more of the U.S. in the next year. Hoping that Hawai'i gets added to that soon (Brett did say that it was a goal).
