Oh. Well, I like them. I like Stoned & Dethroned. And Honey's Dead and Psychocandy. And Darklands is pretty good. My first one was Automatic and I bought it at a pawn shop when I was 14. I'm not sure if I understood it, but I listened to it. And I don't know where I heard about them. Probably from an interview with Kurt Cobain or something. That dude plus Beavis & Butthead plus one random moment seeing Pavement on MTV during the dinner hour doing "Cut Your Hair" got me into practically everything.
There's nothing to get, except catchy pop songs and carefully engineered guitar fuzz and that bum---bah-bum--BUM drum beat from all of the Phil Spector girl groups songs.
I sometimes sing to myself, "I'm a mean motherfucker now but I once was coooool."

Yeah exactly - probably my faves are Honey's Dead, Psychocandy and Darklands. I had the other two you mentioned, but I don't know what happened to them - might have been sold back to Amoeba or I might have sold them back to the used record store in Providence when I lived there. I sold them a bunch of promos I got from the radio station. There were other DJs there that did that much much more than i did.

Bryce, I think you might really like Caroliner - or at least find them interesting. I only have one album by them, though I've seen them live a few times.

Is this the same picture as in that other thread? I forget what thread it was. This picture was the illustration of a story about local cafés in the local alt weekly
