PP, does it annoy you, confuse you or bother you at all when I call you pp or PP?

roxymuzak, Thursday, 28 February 2008 03:19 (thirteen years ago) link

Not at all, and boy was I dreading opening this until I realized it was a new thread.

*PREFACE* I apologise to get all anitpodean but PP is 1/2 Australian.

Q: do you go in for nonsense 'Australian food' like vegemite and tim tams etc?

W4LTER, Thursday, 28 February 2008 09:31 (thirteen years ago) link

I do like me a hoax but anyways, onto the topic at hand.

Q: three dollar bill, y'all?

Anything off of this page

Him too.

I didn't realize that you already had an Ask ____ thread. I am sorry.

This is for the best.

*PREFACE* I apologise to get all anitpodean but PP is 1/2 Australian.

Q: do you go in for nonsense 'Australian food' like vegemite and tim tams etc?

My better half is Australian, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm .5 Oz. My little girl is.

However, I do like vegemite though peanut butter is first in my heart. That gross trick of sucking coffee through a hollow Tim Tam is one of the tastiest experiences of my life. And I really wish they sold Schweppes Lemon soda in the states.

And my better half makes a fucking mean Pavlova.

Q: three dollar bill, y'all?

Long as it's not minted as a coin.

Dear PP,

Who is in the ILX lol britpop zing crew? I asked Mr. ILX but he was too stupid to answer me.

Love,

libby

It's impossible for me to answer that question without first instructing you to study this book:

Lib -

It's because ILXors have no idea what FAP really means.

(You work at home, but to the rest of ya, watch out with that link.)

Having a host of bad opinions, a high ego, and posting inanities on every good thread is a good place to start. Also, a passive-aggressive seething anger at most of the sociopaths who post here also helps.

Or, you could just start your own. Though, you know, unless you're a girl, it looks kinda funny.

i think i have inanities and passive aggression covered. maybe once i had an ask thread, but it never caught on u_u. i am trivialized.

No, I haven't. I have been compared to Sean Penn, Jeff Daniels, Ed Norton, and Mr. Bentley from "The Jeffersons".

I kinda think I've got a Kyle Busch thing goin', but I know I'm only fooling myself.

i think i have inanities and passive aggression covered. maybe once i had an ask thread, but it never caught on u_u. i am trivialized.

Definitely good work on the passive-aggressiveness. Maybe I'll revive your old thread if I don't find something more useful to do.

PP-

ever read any Charles Portis?

gr8080, Friday, 11 July 2008 15:08 (thirteen years ago) link

gr8080 -

I've never gotten around to True Grit, but Dog of the South isn't bad.

If you're ever stuck at the library and wondering what to look for because you've already read everything, Portis ain't a bad place to start.

I haven't read as much of his stuff as I should. Right now, I'm occupied with How the States Got Their Shapes, a book that I had the idea to write ten years ago (but was too lazy.)
