I subscribed to the Simple Machines' Working Holiday series because it was in mentioned in "What Now" in Sassy.

I tried dyeing my hair with cranberry juice, and it didn't work at all.

Tricky Annoying Bras - I got a couple at H&M that were really cute, but they had this weird latching mechanism that was really annoying to work behind my back.

i had a long convo with a girl on nashville last night about bras, where do yours wear out first? where do you get yours and how much do they cost?, etc while a door guy was visibly annoyed by us. then she said "omg look at that girls butt, it sticks out so far" and he practically jumped a fence to look at it too

anyway she said in re: wearing a bra out that she will pop a strap eventually, every time. this has never happened to me, mine will break, tear or otherwise wear out near the clasp(s) every time. we eventually came to the realization that this is due to how we put them on. she had some weird style of clasping it in the front around her belly, then turning it around and then flipping it up. all i do is put my arms through then clasp it in the back. different strokes!~!!!

this happened to me once, but fairly soon after i bought it. i think it was just a crappily made bra.

the seam holding the underwire in is always the first to go. Sometimes I work the wire back down, and forget that it had a problem until I wear it again ... and I'm sitting at work with the wire poking me for a few hours.

oh man i always have that hapen within two seconds, i dont even count it i guess, haw! i jsut rip the wire out and continue to wear it.

I should do that ... I don't think I'm ... er... big enough for it to be a problem.

also, speaking of unconventional bra-putting-on methods, my grandmother used to clasp her bra and then STEP INTO IT

yeah i think this is from improper care but i have had underwires pop out or break a bunch of times. ugh hate that shit.

yeah i once bought all these expensive bras and the shopgirl was like "never put a bra with underwire in the dryer!!!!"

never stuffed ... I was the opposite ... I remember being temporarily traumatized when my mom dragged me to the department store to buy bras for the first time, but I was kinda a tomboy and was 8 or 9.

I used to wear oversized shirts a lot ... but partly because that was the fashion - the big shirt, leggings/tight pants thing. I sucked at pegging pants. My current bf, I learned was a total pro at this.

i was a little late for pegging pants, but my sister (nije) and brother did it

i wore big shirts and shorts and stuff but it was mostly for sports reasons, on my own time i did wear semi-raver pants, but that was because of.....i have no idea why i wore that. "i love the 90s"

my friend is so nostalgic for the 90s. like she thinks the 90s were a good luck. i am so baffled by this. the 80s were aight. but the 90s were some mess of 80s leftovers + really horrible things.

i look at my 90s self and shudder.
she is nostalgic for the calvin klein dresses and chunky loafers (not together, i hope). i get that... but i'm glad we've advanced somewhat.

i dont know about a good look, but there were many LOL looks, more subtly lol than the 80s
