is it common for cats to jump up to the top of an open door just to sit on it? i made her get down. she is insane.

my cat will jump on the refrigerator but not the door!! how does she even get up there?

lol my bike has been sitting against the door and first she was just using it to jump up to the top shelf of the closet, which shocked me because it's pretty high. there's blankets stacked in there and she takes naps in them. but i just heard a sound and i looked over and she had jumped all the way up. i tried to help her down and she kept batting at my hand so i had to stand on a chair. i closed the door. that's enough, cat!

so cat was going on her nightly rampage where she uses furniture as her own little obstacle course and pretends she is a gymnast, and something slipped and she went flying through the air (like i saw her upside down in slow motion) and she tried to grab onto my arm and scratched it pretty deep. she is ok but i am i gonna get

the worst part about a cat scratch is the itching. I've found that even if my cat doesn't break the skin or draw blood, the wound still swells up and starts feeling like one long mosquito bite. cats must have poison ivy toxins in their claws or something equally nasty.

i guess we are friends again but she does annoy me a little when i am trying to study and she comes and

• lays on top of my book
• gets mad if i try to turn a page
• tries to grab pen from my hand
• will not let me highlight anything

ok this is having a cat

i think i prefer dogs tbh

she was hunting a ladybug and i caught it for her and she acted like it was still right where she was staring and then she found it and sniffed it and it was making that gross ladybug smell and she went "nuf nuf nuf nuf nuf" trying to get the taste out of her mouth! LOL! then it walked toward her and she backed away slowly. this cat is a terrible hunter.

but she did find a palmetto bug one morning and chased it under the door for me thanks cat

even though i was scared and said "kill it you idiot!"

harbl, all these traits you mention are great reasons never to get a cat, if you ask me. People on dis thread may be right that this is the reality of feline partnership, but you can count me out.

Also there's no excuse for neurotic or bad behavior -- that means your cat is bored and/or unhappy, which is rly your fault for wanting something furry to sleep on your face and chase a laser pointer without considering that it might be more intelligent than you are. This tirade not directed at habrl or anyone here but at legions of urban cat owners who think their horribly behaved pets are appealing.

And who then whine that their cat doesn't love them enough because it bites and scratches.

cats are hunters. they will bite and scratch u sometimes even if u are besties.

some are more finicky than others. i've been living my cat for 10 years and i know the subtle cues she gives when she doesn't want to be touched etc.
