Well, not anymore, because today David's FATHER went to the courthouse and shot Christine Belford (and another woman).

I can't distill want I want to say about this into a coherent post. Something about women's bodies and fertility and who controls those things, and the comparatively small number of men who feel entitled to those things and cheated when they don't control them, and how bitter and final their vengeance is when they've been thwarted.

i guess the current fashion for MRA rhetoric has made it seem like a new legitimacy is being given to such men's sense of entitlement over their offspring? even if the only "legitimacy" is that of a vocal hardcore, who can make the link to the question of individual liberty because the state tends to not be on their side.

I think the MRA stuff is obviously a backlash to the world changing toward incrementally greater parity for women, which is where the world should keep right on going, but the death throes of each stage are so explosively violent and damaging.
