being short

I was in the Yucatan for a month, full of those descended from the Mayans, and they're all pretty short. I'm 6' 2" and I didn't see a single person taller than me. I was at a few parties for my GF's family and they pretty much stared at me nonstop. Kids were constantly bugging me. I've never felt like a giant before but it was pretty cool!!

a friend of mine is a 6' redhead who visited ass-nowhere rural china in the late 90s and people treated her like an actual freak. she said it took ages to get down the street because ppl would stop to have their picture taken with her, and she was constantly being asked to come in for food or tea or w/e so ppl could have a braggable experience with the giant ginger weirdo

I'm the worst height - 5' 11 3/4". How stupid is that.

The only other person I know of at that height is GEORGE WALKER BUSH. We could share the same train car at the county fair.

at the DMV when they asked for my height i put down 6' and then i felt ashamed so i switched to 5'11" and 3/4

in high school i auditioned for our production of "the miracle worker," and the director said "okay everybody pair off, in this scene one of you will be helen keller and the other will be annie sullivan." i am 5'9" and i got paired with a teeny 5'2" girl, but for some reason we decided SHE should be annie and i would be helen keller. we got maybe ten seconds into the scene before the director laughed at us outright and made us sit down. i ended up being prop mistress.

I finally figured out that old guys wear their pants up too high because they shrink and refuse to buy shorter inseams.

Maybe I'll go with 32 next time.
