obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:41 (fifteen years ago)

i think both these movies are pretty american. or mythical-american. though maybe that means they would have been good exports. i don't know, maybe you were just not obsessed with emilio estevez like my best friend at the time was and so needed to watch these movies over and over.

obliquity of the ecliptic (rrrobyn), Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:44 (fifteen years ago)

But I've seen the Lost Boys!

one time, something happy craz (Trayce), Thursday, 10 March 2011 02:50 (fifteen years ago)

horseshoe, Friday, 11 March 2011 01:10 (fifteen years ago)

Hands up, who first saw that movie in class? *raises hand*

Christine Green Leafy Dragon Indigo, Friday, 11 March 2011 02:41 (fifteen years ago)

Not a huge fan - people were more into 'Rumble Fish' down my way - but 'That Was Then, This Is Now' was shot in Minneapolis and some classmate's mom was in charge of extras casting, so a few girls from my class have small speaking parts in the film.

Say!

phantoms from a world gone by speak again the immortal tale: (Jenny), Thursday, 17 March 2011 23:36 (fifteen years ago)

this might create unnecessary oppositions: like Clooney w/pug puppy vs. Varg w/cat

sarahel, Thursday, 17 March 2011 23:39 (fifteen years ago)

There is room in our hearts for both.

This is not a zero sum game.

i love him

esp from that era

And I am here to tell you that although the man's ego would be inflated beyond its already wide dimensions to see this, y'all are NOT WRONG. I mark '92 - '96 as the Hottness Years. My old editor has a certain SHOWER PHOTO by a certain art photographer colleague featuring ALBARNCOCK at half-mast which would melt your heads.

In other tangentially related news, I interviewed a certain supermodel today and she confessed that she'd named her kids' pet rabbit after Justine Frischmann. Can't say *myself* who the model is for a month, but she was basically a fashion avatar for the Frischmann at the time...

nights of d. cameron (suzy), Thursday, 31 March 2011 19:04 (fifteen years ago)

suzy i have seen you mention these shower pics before, in fact i was dreaming about them while i was googling for those^^

i have never heard about the half mast part though!

☠ (roxymuzak), Thursday, 31 March 2011 20:55 (fifteen years ago)

also suzy otm, albarn is the kind of hot guy that you could NEVER let on you thought was hot, for ego reasons. if we were friends i would secretly lust after him but constantly take him down a notch w/r/t looks

☠ (roxymuzak), Thursday, 31 March 2011 20:57 (fifteen years ago)

Back up the lesbian canoe (Laurel), Thursday, 31 March 2011 21:20 (fifteen years ago)

Damon, you fancied despite yourself. Brett, completely different story! Fanciable until unclean man-slut rep surfaced but otherwise the attitude to being attractive not too different from Damon.

nights of d. cameron (suzy), Thursday, 31 March 2011 21:30 (fifteen years ago)

i hated brett anderson's face, but i love suede

☠ (roxymuzak), Thursday, 31 March 2011 22:08 (fifteen years ago)

two months pass...

oh man i was coming here to post this thinking it would be a total non sequitur, but now i see its basically just continuing the conversation we were already having

when i was a kid i had crushed on blur, but i wasn't attracted to the oasis dudes at all (maybe because they came off as dumb/jerks and that was a big turnoff). i never understood liam as a sex symbol. now as an adult, watching this video is like...damn, i *get* it
