just kind of a jumble of some of my fave songs tbh. i really like the way the first 3 songs flow together, after that just said fuck it and threw them on there, its not like anyone will listen to them all the way through anyway tbh

no, i got into it after reading turnbull's "forest people", ituri rainforest is an interest of mine - hope to do some work there someday (its kinda my life's ultimate goal tbh)

have talked to milton p about it on Mbuti pygmy chanting - Classic or Badass? tho

it's actually really great -- the chorus about tool use reminds me a little of the song "Teenage Enema Nurses in Bondage"

Is this an undergrad class? Kinda dread to think of what mix I'd have made at 19/20/21.

yeah its like, THE entry level class for musicology, no prereqs. i took it cause it fit my schedule and i needed a 3 hour elective - also i know the teach and like him

im glad 5 is so popular here cause i was seriously loling while i was listening to it

seems the most ilxory to me

i dunno s&c would properly troll and have people asking musicology type questions

tbh this class is nice cause it gives me a break from the forestry shit which is getting heated and busting my hump atm

I have a theory about who made it - I think it was this guy who plays professionally in an 80s cover band. He's a music major (performance - drums). One of our assignments was to make a "musical map" of Knoxville - however we interpreted that - his was a printout of an .xls featuring places around town to play, what they paid, etc. It was pretty funny, but I also kinda dislike him.
