estela, Monday, 3 January 2011 05:00 (fifteen years ago)

there was in implied <3 in there that might not be inferred.

estela, Monday, 3 January 2011 05:01 (fifteen years ago)

and harbl's cat (<3) is exactly the kind of disgraceful outfit i would expect.

estela, Monday, 3 January 2011 05:02 (fifteen years ago)

tip - look for snoring cats on youtube, they're the best

StanM, Tuesday, 11 January 2011 18:30 (fifteen years ago)

one month passes...

considering this: when i put a plate of food (or a plate i just ate off of) next to me on the couch, she always comes and "cleans" around it but she is never interested in eating my food. she must know it's food if she does that thing, but how does she know it's food if she doesn't want to eat it? is she just trying to save me from enemies?

Secrets will not Block Justice (harbl), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 01:33 (fifteen years ago)

i think she is just very polite and knows that you saved her so how dare she try to steal your food!

tehresa, Tuesday, 1 March 2011 02:26 (fifteen years ago)

it's true it might be a submission thang. cats is weird.

not everything is a campfire (ian), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 02:59 (fifteen years ago)

my ivan just came crawling up to sleep in my armpit as i recline on bed with laptop. he's not normally so directly affectionate.

not everything is a campfire (ian), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 03:00 (fifteen years ago)

u hid a burrito in yr armpit and i claim my $5

ullr saves (gbx), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 03:01 (fifteen years ago)

well there are some human foods she will eat, but not many. she can't resist tuna or sardines.
she's sitting on my lap atm. i can't sit on the couch without her getting into my lap. she is very affectionate but also very shy.

Secrets will not Block Justice (harbl), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 11:56 (fifteen years ago)

do your guys cats ever do that "nothing going on here, i'm just grooming myself" face-saving move when they are embarrassed like when they screw up a big jump or whatever?

dell (del), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 13:39 (fifteen years ago)

lol yes!

Secrets will not Block Justice (harbl), Tuesday, 1 March 2011 22:04 (fifteen years ago)

I had a cat named Ivan, too. I didn't name him. He was a good and bad cat. He was semi-feral.

bamcquern, Tuesday, 1 March 2011 22:14 (fifteen years ago)

so kitty is very gentlemanly about his excretions, always in the proper place thus far, but likes to burst out of the litter box and generally scatter litter everywhere. i've turned the opening toward the wall, i've put the box on a wee rug, all to no avail. is there some secret to keeping it in the box or is that just the way it goes?

mookieproof, Wednesday, 2 March 2011 00:46 (fifteen years ago)

that's the way it goes for me

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Wednesday, 2 March 2011 01:16 (fifteen years ago)

when you guys sleep do your cats sleep on your chest and then stare at you for like 6-8 hours straight because I think that's what my cats are doing

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Wednesday, 2 March 2011 01:17 (fifteen years ago)

she spends like the last hour of my sleep sitting on my chest/stomach and staring at me yes. she is surprisingly heavy.

Secrets will not Block Justice (harbl), Wednesday, 2 March 2011 01:46 (fifteen years ago)

they're stealin ur breath

corey, Wednesday, 2 March 2011 01:53 (fifteen years ago)

protect ya breath -- sleep on yr side

dude will sit on my head, but only if my hair is long enough for him to play with, which it is not normally. otherwise he complains and tries to destroy everything on my end table.

mookieproof, Wednesday, 2 March 2011 02:31 (fifteen years ago)

i do sleep mostly on my side but she gets on top of my hip and it hurts my bones

Secrets will not Block Justice (harbl), Wednesday, 2 March 2011 11:23 (fifteen years ago)

still looking on the glasgow cats protection league site for a suitable puss - these descriptions made me lol

Bo, Cracker & Ruby
3 gorgeous rural cats
We're trying to find a home for three cats who would like to live together on a farm or similar rural environment. Their current owner has had to (reluctantly) put them up for adoption due to a medical condition. The details of these cats are as follows.

Bo. A very chatty 2-to-3-years-old tabby long-haired male cat who loves to hunt (up to 5 kills a day!). Loyal as a dog but you'll need to watch that he doesn't hitch a ride on visiting vehicles.

Cracker. 3-to-4-year-old male cat. Very indepdent. A BIG CAT.

Ruby. 1-to-2-year-old black and white long-haired cat. Very suspicious of people; she may bite or swipe if spooked but really a lovely cat.

the cat that wandered into the back yard and adopted us last winter is a terrible self-groomer -- he smells like catshit all the time. I thought cats had more pride than that.

Mr. Patrick Batman (WmC), Friday, 17 June 2011 22:53 (fourteen years ago)

^ only masking the horrible human shit smell we probably have to them

StanM, Saturday, 18 June 2011 01:47 (fourteen years ago)

you probably just need to show him how it's done xp
