having some bathroom problems

so i had this stray kitten that would hangout in behind my place. he was super awesome friendly and i'd let him inside once in a while, mainly as a mouse deterrent, but also because he's awesome.
yesterday, after not seeing him for a bit, i noticed the end of his tail was missing and all bloody. my gf works at a vet clinic - so we got him in a carrier and took him over. they had to amputate part of the tail today. they also neutered him and gave him all sorts of shots etc. and food.
so they're going to put him in their rescue program (much to the owner's chagrin). i'm going to miss the little guy, i just got back from visiting him and he's doing awesome. i seriously seriously considered taking him in myself.

for my cat the bathroom is the crackspot. when I'm in the tub she's in there reppin' like a mascot.

my cat still doesn't have a name. we are good friends now. she snuggles with me while i'm sleeping or reading books in my bed. but today i'm mad at her because she completely chewed the cord off my cheap headphones! she'd better not try to chew on things that are plugged in or she's in for a shock :/

almost every day i wake up with a stuffed mouse toy in my bed. she loves that thing. but she tore off one of its ears, not very nice

My cat wakes me up by digging her claws into my legs and licking my toes at the same time. Who needs an alarm clock?

mine does a gentle *scratch-scratch-scratch* at whatever exposed bits are handy.

oh yeah also she has figured out how to play the door stop on my bathroom door, it's one of those metal spring ones. when i'm getting ready in the morning she lays down next to it and periodically puts her paw on it and lets go and it goes SPROINGGGGG

my cat straight up leaped into the toilet this morning. She tried hanging on to this scarf I have draped over the tank but just pulled everything down with her, splashed around, popped up and tore ass through the apartment in rapid circles then came back to see if I was ok. I laughed so hard.

i had found a home for him in Montreal and the gf was like "no way!"

so zuzu the mitten kitten pictured above appears v. likely to have feline infectious peritonitis (fatal). in addition to totally sucking and being heartbreaking, its a major pain the ass w/ another cat in the house.

So sad. I had a kitten die of FIP. The thing to remember is that most cats have already been exposed to the virus that causes FIP, but only a small percentage actually get sick and die from it.

Turns out my cat has cancer :/ Shes been throwing up heaps lately. Poor kitty.

Oh, I'm so sorry Trayce.

Yeah, its a bit sad. She was old anyway, and she's not suffering as far as I can see: just become really sensitive food/digestion wise. GOnna try a treatment for her and see if it makes her a bit more well/comfy.

really afraid i will come home to dead kitten. she seems rather well, except for appearing to have swallowed a softball.

welp, she declined pretty quickly. she's gone, we took her in and had her put down. fuck fip with a stick man, that sucked. the other kitten definitely seems to miss his playmate.

thanks everyone! we are gonna get another kitten if we can in a couple of weeks, so i'll put a picture up then.

this morning i woke up to a pile of shredded toilet paper in the bathroom, and when i got home i realized there was another pile in the corner of my bedroom! an entire roll between the two rooms. she thought i was mad at her but i thought it was funny. she must have had a lot of fun while i was sleeping.

one day i will take a picture of her. she has a very cute face.
her favorite toy is q-tips. maybe because sometimes i take her other favorite toy away if she's playing with it on my bed at 3 am. this morning she keeps coming up on my desk/table and stealing paper clips &stuff and running away. so glad i considered her.
